A few years ago there was talk of cyprus begin admitted to the EU. What ever happened to that? There was some dispute over whether cyprus was part of turkey or not, as I remember.

ottoman ottoman ottoman...........they (islam, not just turks) will never repeat never give up the fantasy and goal of resurrecting it......the ottoman empire was the greatest progress ever in the history of jihad/da’wa....the goal has never changed, which is why the muslim brotherhood was formed immediately after ottoman was smashed......

Obama - the closet Muslim - will ALWAYS stand with the Muslims.

France has finally found their balls - due to the Muslims squeezing them.

Turkey will never be admitted to the EU. And France is not the only one standing in its way.

True

However I salute Sarkozy for being quick (first?) to tell obama to butt out!

France opposed the admittance of Turkey before Sarkozy every became the PM. Nothing has changed.

You said — “that is exactly what the ottoman empire was.....this word game crap is all taqiyya.....”

Yes, I do know what Takiyya is... LOL... and that’s precisely why I used the word, “caliphate” instead of “Ottoman Empire”. I consider the caliphate to be the worst of all evils and would probably prefer the Ottoman Empire instead... :-)

At least the Ottoman Empire was looking out for its own interests and keep the Islamics under control. In a caliphate, it would be the destruction of all the “governments” of the region, and being remade into a Islamic-sharia-law governed entity, with designs and resources to take over the entire world — with none of the rationality or self-preservation of an “Ottoman Empire”...

“obama is the laughing stock of the world”

Kinda fits the kenyan clown title.

well maybe you and I have a different take on the ottomans history in europe, then, but we more or less agree on contemporaneous stuff.....omomma envisions abdulla as the caliph-to-be these days, and himself as the “organizer” of the surrender-monkeys

Why should the President of the United States care what nations are members of the European Union—other than to know those are (some of) the nations against which the United States must compete. I included the “some of” because those nations, particularly those in Western Europe, will likely not be in the first tier of nations against whom we will be competing in twenty years.

Who did not see this coming?

The question is:
“Shall we accept an islamic nation into the EU?”

and don't split hairs about legalities - it is an islamic nation with some curbs on islam’s more egregious behaviours. For now

The President of American is a Kenyan named Hussein.

What did anyone think that the position of anyone named Hussein would be?

This stupid stunt by obama was (IMO) a small payback to Turkey for agreeing just yesterday to withdraw their objections to the Danish Prime minister becoming the new head of NATO - thus avoiding what could have become a major split -

... that plus obama’s insistence that muslim nations need to be bowed down to

Why should the President of the United States care ...

Oh please. We do not need another 200 million outright enemies with advanced nukes.

Obama was just restating the US position, which has been in place since the Bush 43 administration. Obama hasn’t changed a thing.
