Meghan McCain and her senator father, John, have something in common: Neither can say whether they would vote for Sarah Palin come 2012.
Ms. McCain, who has gained prominence for her Daily Beast articles, appeared on CNN last night and couldn’t tell Roland Martin whether she would back a potential Palin presidential ticket. Here’s the exchange, via GOP12:
MARTIN: Let’s talk about Governor Sarah Palin. She’s still in the news, whether it’s her former — I don’t know if it was son-in-law-to-be — talking and things along those lines.
A lot of folks are saying she should be the choice for 2012. Should she run, and will you support her running for president or for the GOP nomination in 2012?
MCCAIN: I honestly don’t think that’s a relevant question. I have to find out who is running in 2012, I mean, what — there’s broad personalities that happen. And it’s four years from now. A lot of things can happen. A lot of things can change. And I couldn’t possibly make a prediction about 2012 right now.
MARTIN: But is she someone who you could conceivably vote for because of what she stands for?
MCCAIN: I don’t know. I have to see who else is on the table.
John McCain earlier this month refused to say he’d back Palin. The senator, who picked Palin as his running mate last year, said he wanted to see who else would make a White House bid. Clearly the McCain and Palin camps still aren’t on the best of terms.

We all know who McCain is, and what he is. He hasn’t changed since the election, so this isn’t news.
And we all know what the DNC press is trying to do. So that really isn’t news either.
The Dems are cowards. Can’t make stories with strong Republican candidates, so they go and make their children the stories, hoping to manipulate them. It’s like men who attack women and children because they can’t face real men.
Meghan must be trying to get a spot on the Nutrisystem TV commercials!

Why, precisely, does anyone give a damn what she thinks? Just because she’s the mindless-yet-mouthy spawn of Juan the angry pirate McCain? She’s like Paris but broader in the beam.

Why would anyone care what Meghan McCain thinks? She is an expert in what?
As I listened to her on Larry “Cadaver” King, I kept thinking about something about which Boortz frequently reminds his male audience: “At some point, you’ll have to try to have a conversation with her.” I also kept thinking that she HAS to be from California until I remembered that Arizona also has valleys.
Honestly, this is actually the right answer. It’s way too early to commit to anyone yet.
That said, who the $@#! cares what this airhead thinks, anyway?
The way things are changing, we might not have elections in 2012.
