Charles Krauthammer: It's Your Country Too, Mr. President
Washington Post ^

Posted on 04/09/2009 11:26:25 PM PDT by Chet 99

. . .

I'm not against gift-giving in international relations. But it would be nice to see some reciprocity. Obama was in a giving mood throughout Europe. While Gordon Brown was trying to make his American DVDs work and the queen was rocking to her new iPod, the rest of Europe was enjoying a more fulsome Obama gift.

Our president came bearing a basketful of mea culpas. With varying degrees of directness or obliqueness, Obama indicted his own people for arrogance, for dismissiveness and derisiveness, for genocide, for torture, for Hiroshima, for Guantanamo and for insufficient respect for the Muslim world.

And what did he get for this obsessive denigration of his own country? He wanted more NATO combat troops in Afghanistan to match the surge of 17,000 Americans. He was rudely rebuffed.

He wanted more stimulus spending from Europe. He got nothing.

From Russia, he got no help on Iran. From China, he got the blocking of any action on North Korea.

Has anyone made the connection between feeling ashamed of your country and the psychologial shame someone who was abandonded by his natural father might have?

With the nomination of Obama, the Dems have snared a new distinction: their last two presidents have come from dysfunctional, broken families. And look where voting for them gets America.

At least Jimmuh came from a more-or-less intact family.

We keep electing these psychological cripples.

Can it get any worse? Sadly, yes.

Yes, he's got the execrable Rahm Emanuel pulling strings in the background as his Cardinal Richelieu.

Obama the narcissist believes his mere presence can change reality. I think his response to the failure to get much of anything out of this apology tour will be even MORE attacks on the USA. Why, the problem is he didn't take us down far enough yet!

Oh wait, we gave $50k to the Italians for the earthquake...

And Madonna gave $500,000. How embarrassing.

““You did the right thing. You know the Japanese attitude at that time, how fanatic they were, they’d die for the Emperor...Every man, woman, and child would have resisted that invasion with sticks and stones if necessary...Can you imagine what a slaughter it would be to invade Japan? It would have been terrible. The Japanese people know more about it than the American public will ever know.”

Japanese pilot Mitsuo Fuchida (Led the raid on Pearl Harbor) in a conversation with Paul Tibbets.

One of my uncles was in the First Cav in the Pacific part of WWII and was on leave to say goodbye to his parents and sisters (4 and 1 was my mother), when we nuked Japan and the war ended.

He was glad that it was over. However, he said that he and thousands of other soldiers, marines and sailors were disappointed that we only used two bombs.

One time after a few beers, he told his Dad and 4 BIL’s that he wished, “We had used two dozen atomic bombs and then let he and his fellow warriors clean up the trash. Those, who had started the war and killed hundreds of thousands with total brutality.”

Not very PC in today’s world, but an honest reaction from a surviving warrior against the barbarians.

Well, after sitting through 20 years of “Rev” Wrong’s weekly diatribes, I don’t know why anyone is surprised by anything this clown says or does...

“One year from now....”

I’m always a little chagrined by that qualifier. (I’m assuming there’s nothing special about April 09/10, 2010.) Similar to “give him time to find his feet, he’s brand new in office”. (And I KNOW you are not advocating that, this post is addressed to your choice of phrase, not to you personally)

0bama is 0bama. Period. Once again, dumb, stupid, neanderthal, simplistic, cave-dwelling Conservatives who never had an orignal idea in their lives “get it”. 0bama is 0bama. He indeed is the Marxist/Socialist we saw during the campaign with the curiouser and curiouser mysterious past with the gaping holes. He is the stumbly bumbly speaker remarkable only in the sense that he can slough over his inarticulateness with grandiose meaningless gobbledygook. Protected and glorified by a media machine that would make Herr Goebbels shed tears of joy, he seems immune to any reality-based or thought-based attack. We are left to marvel at Michelle 0bamas’ arms.

Not just all that, but he is a brazen and stunningly consistent liar who’d probably edge out Clinton in a competition, if the lying contest were held fairly. An amusing concept in and of itself with these two. And ultimately he is a Muslim. All this is demonstrated in deeds, not words, while he remonstrates with us that words must mean something, while for him, they do not.

My point being, a year isn’t going to make any difference. At least, not for me, and I daresay not for you. And if it does, it will IMO be because the country has moved closer to 0bamas’ ideals rather 0bama relinquishing his wonderful visions of our utopian hell.

- A little boy needed $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened.....

- Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00.....

- When the postal authorities received the letter to God, USA, they decided to send it to the President.....

 - The president was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $ 5.00 bailout.....

 - The president thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.....

- The little boy was delighted to receive the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank-you  note to God, which read:

      Dear God:

Thank you very much for sending the money.

However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington  D.C. and Obama immediately deducted 90% in taxes and gave it to ACORN.

It's Your Country Too, Mr. President

Wrong!, Mr Krauthammer.

The U.S. is simply the country in which Obama lives and was raised in for a long time. And he even managed to get elected as president of that country.

But, his allegiance is not to the U.S. His allegiance is to his religion, Islam, no matter how much he denies that he isn't Muslim. And, he wasn't born in the U.S., which brings further into question his allegiance to a country in which he wasn't born in.

Obama is here like any other enemy of the U.S. Conquer from within and destroy as much as possible that which threatens the places and the religion that he owes his true allegiance to.

The light hasn't come on yet for Krauthammer.

Obama isn't on our side.

The light hasn't come on yet for Krauthammer.

Then again, perhaps it has. This may be as close as he can come to saying that Obama is working against America's interests while still getting published.

Yep, he was abandoned by his natural father. And then his stepfather. Then his mother dumped him on his grandparents. And his granddad sloughed him off on a drunken homosexual washed up Marxist poet. There might be a little abandonment issue there.

At least he learned about the magic of amber from Frank.

"Obama is Obama

Let me add I had no illusions about Obama, and nothing he has done so far has surprised me. However, generous person that I am, I will give even committed leftists room for a change of heart. It's happened to a lot of leftists like David Howowitz and even Thomas Sowell who said he was a Marxist right out of high school.

But I sincerely doubt it will happen for Obama. What is most likely is that after a few years of catastrophe he might inwardly acknowledge that leftism is a failure but carry on his disastrous polices nonetheless.

We are all going to pay dearly for that ignorance.

The British stopped a planned attack just in the nick of time. It was taken from the Intifida playbook and would have wreacked havoc and killed many at a shopping center.

I truly believe that the only reason why we have not suffered something on this order, is that the Muslim community here has policed its own, to some extent, due to the cases wrapped up by LEOs and the fear that well armed Americans would extract revenge on their communities.

Unfortunately, we now have a president who has stated that "he will stand with the Muslims" in such an event.

Look, I hate vigilantes, but I do believe it is THE FEAR of what armed Amercians can do that keeps this type of activity minimal.

The incidents that have occurred in the US are those of an individual "going Jihad." I do agree that this guy (0bama) is going to get more Americans killed, most likely from European Muslims who aren't required to get visas to enter our country.

Or by ME border absconders coming from Mexico or Canada.

Yep, and ole Frank didn't abandon him. Thus, by transference, Marxism was the only that didn't in young Barry's life. And his grandma but she had problems. Typical white person ya know.
