Tea Party movement aims to inspire revolution (Spew-worthy)
The San Francisco Examiner ^ | April 9, 2009 | Wyatt Shev

Posted on 04/11/2009 8:57:40 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

April 15th.

Write that date down; people - it could very well mark the beginning of the end. With the notoriously conservative Tea Party movement gaining steam, is it time to take the ‘United’ out of ‘United States’?

An off-the-cuff and seemingly harmless comment from CNBC drone Rick Santelli- who called for a Chicago ‘Tea Party’ in response to Obama’s handling of the worsening economic situation- has now developed into a full-blown national movement.

On April 15th, hundreds of thousands of PO’d red meat eatin’ Americans will converge on the streets to protest the Obama administration’s policies and platforms. Over 360 cities nationwide have been confirmed as protest staging points, and conservative luminaries like Newt Gingrich and Sean ‘Rough Rider’ Hannity will lend their considerable girth and celebrity to ensure a sense of bloated spectacle.

The Tea (Taxed Enough Already) Party-people consider themselves a coherent and diverse network of Americans from every conceivable walk of life. They are cultural warriors fighting against the tax-happy, spend-happy ways of the evil Obama cabal, real American patriots, and staunch defenders against the creeping evils of Socialism.

In reality, their ‘movement’ is incredibly divisive, a mindset that stands in sharp contrast to Obama’s calls for bipartisanship in this time of great national need. Their arguments have the potential to divide the country along titanic lines not seen since the bloody days of the Civil War.

Think I’m exaggerating here? The Tea Party movement is an incredibly dangerous concept, fuelled by the usual gushes of sycophantic support from the conservative news media (here’s looking at you, Fox). Consider a recent poll posted on Sean Hannity’s website, asking his loyal followers if they thought America was ripe for ‘revolution’. Or perhaps you’ve heard some of the vitriolic treasonous crap spewing forth from the mouth of Fox’s resident white-haired lunatic, He Who Shall Go Unnamed. You can tune in to his show practically any day of the week for an (increasingly) thinly veiled call to arms against the President and his evil liberal cronies.

The Tea Party Movement is basically a flag for Republicans disenfranchised by last year’s election results to rally behind. Give it up, guys. You lost fair and square. Obama and his policies have the mandate of the people- unlike a certain Bush I could mention.

If the country continues down this dark path, a second Civil War might not just be a cool idea for a sci-fi novel anymore. Can you imagine the potential for chaos if some of these ‘protesters’ decide to exercise the Second Amendment and bring their weapons to these rallies? There’s a thin line between peaceful protest and bloodthirsty patriotic fervor, especially if those protesting are used to being on the side of the mighty status quo.

I hope April 15th comes and goes without major incident. And I hope the protesters fail in their mission to bring their message to a national audience. It’s a message of fear, prejudice and, quite frankly, hate.

President Obama was elected democratically, according to the doctrines set forth by the Founding Fathers. The Tea Party movement represents a real danger to the tenets of democracy Americans have embraced for centuries.

There are now only 1351 days left until the End of the World.

I’m glad this lefty has his panties in a wad. WE must be doing something right!

The hypocrisy of his “article” is obvious to us freepers, and doesn’t bother me. It’s standard lefty drivel. But he sounds scared. Leftists have a complete lock on our Federal government... yet he’s worried the people might not like the new Utopia being dictated to them from Washington.

Give it up, guys. You lost fair and square.

ACORN stole the election. The votes in blue states were inflated easily by fraud and corruption. The real tragedy is that nothing is being done to stop ACORN in the future.

3 million fraudulent votes stole the election for Obama and he gave ACORN another several billion dollars to continue their work. The zombie republican party is history if it doesn't start suing the SOS's to repair the voter rolls.

David Limbaugh wrote this on July 15, 2005:
>>Typical of the twisted logic of Liberals that they employ is this from Washington Post E. J. Dionne Jr., speaking of President Bush’s nominees to The Supreme Court :
“Should a temporary majority of 50.7 percent have control over the entire United States government? Should 49.3 percent of Americans have no influence over the nation’s
trajectory for the next generation? We are deciding whether one ideological orientation will hold sway over all three branches of government. Today’s Republican majority,
based on Bush’s 50.7 percent of the vote in 2004, has no inherent right to exercise near-total control over that ‘most powerful branch’.” <<

Numbers and party are different. Does Monsieur Dionne still believe this? All America wants to know.

Amen brother. I took the same oath. You know the definition of a veteran: someone who at one point in his life wrote a blank check made payable to the United States of America for an amount of ‘up to and including my life.’

Ready on the left, ready on the right, lock and load.

Semper fi do or die.

"He says this as if this would be a bad thing"

Thanks to the LIBs, what could have been an amicable agreement to go our separate ways has precipitated a crisis that should never have come to be. I fear that the parting now will not be nice. Perhaps we can "HOPE" that we can go peacefully and "CHANGE" America.

So now that conservatives, libertarians, independents and businesspeople are protesting, it’s “divisive” is it?

they don’t realize “Obama won”.

The thing liberals need to deal with is that everyone knows we'd be better off without them.

that’s right, if wyatt’s side could just rid us of a few pesky amendmends in that archaic ‘ol Constitution just think how perfect things would be...

Well personally, I would be thrilled beyond words to see the 16th Amendment removed.

I put a bumper sticker on my van. It had a pic of O with a line through him and said “I proudly voted against a socialist America.” Someone tore it off while in my driveway Friday night.

Good thing I have a spare. I live on a military base. If I’m told to remove it by the army I will ask that they have ALL stickers that express political opinions removed from ALL vehicles on post. After all fair is fair.

Your absolutely right.

The majority Dems need to be flushed as well as phoney losers like Boehner who failed to successfully block them.

Anyone know where the tea parties are all located?

We need to try to get friends, family, co workers and anyone else we can find who is sick of what is happening to attend. I guess the best thing to bring is a small American flag.
