Federal agency warns of radicals on right (Big Brother is coming)

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

This is a badge of honor. Communist propaganda machine attacks main stream United States citizens because we believe in God freedom of religion, Country American Sovereignty, Secured borders legal immigration and the American family.

Clearly the communist propagandist have to take and protect the opposite side of pure destruction of all things American.

God, Country and Family are no longer welcome in the Marxist view of America.

Demoralizing the enemy has been a strategy of war since the first rock was thrown. This is an intimidation tactic.

If anyone had any doubts about what our governments intention is, this should clear all question marks.

This is a declaration of war by the Marxists in government on 58 million plus Armed United States citizens. This is absolutely stunning. The Marxist have placed the United States Soldier and Veterans of Wars, Air Force, Army, Marine and Navy personnel directly in the cross hairs. I would suspect that the Marxist can not compete with the soldier’s oath to the United States Constitution.

These DHS morons should arrest themselves.

They are the ones who took oaths "to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic".

On every point they make about the "right wing extremists", they are against the Constitution and the RWE are with the Constitution.

They need to bust themselves.

After they get done wanding two-year-olds and grannies in the airport.

When a sovereign nation is not allowed to or encouraged not to enforce its laws and governing bodies by those who came to relish in all that which makes it great, that republic will fall. The idea that our Secretary of Homeland Security is being influenced by a specific group of individuals who refuse to accept any sort of assimilation into a republic not founded by nor created by their ancestors, and that they migrated to in order to seek a better life is unforgivable. Homeland Security should be focused on securing the rights of those whose taxes provide for their agency - not those raping and pillaging the system.

Apparently, Glenn’s mentioned by name in this document, including the 912 Project, and that he’s inciting, gathering recruits ... etc. etc.

Unreal.

What, exactly, would you suggest the government DO about “these people”?

I’m sorry, it is not common sense. Think!

What would the official statements in a report like this be used to justify and build up?

Common sense, AMERICAN Common Sense, says such a report should not have been written, and if written never approved, and if approved never published and if published never let stand, and if let stand never but ridiculed, and in the extreme indignation that is due to it a public hue and cry should be raised against it and any functionary or politician who would support it and not demand that it be struck from the record, denied in the most strongest terms!

It is toxic to free speech. That, sis, is common sense.

~~”The report says extremist groups have used President Obama as a recruiting tool”

This is sick!

We could make a long list of those that Obama "tools" himself out to over the years:

One of the reasons I didn't support the "patriot" act : "terrorist" is so poorly defined that it could include almost anyone.

Don't worry, though. If you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about, right?

The federal government is now recruiting local law enforcement in its campaign against Obama’s political opponents, whereas it prohibits local law enforcement from participating in curbing actual homeland security threats. Our government is illegitimate, our political system is illegitimate, and Napolitano’s memo is simply more proof. Do not be surprised if Obama’s agents are monitoring this site and others for evidence of political “crimes”. Freedom-loving Americans need to start thinking about going underground and using encryption to avoid being targeted by Obama’s liberal fascist Gestapo. We must also be very vigilant against plants and informants among us.

"Similar but less severe conditions occurred in the lead up to the Oklahoma City bombing, namely, a minor recession, a newly elected Democrat president and some disgruntled and disillusioned war vets. Only today, we have a much more severe recession, a minority and more liberal president and war vets that are many times more traumatized in severity and numbers than in the Gulf War."

True, but you have reached the wrong conclusion. In 1995, the leftists were weaker, and were in danger of being steamrollered by conservatives. Today, the power balance is reversed -- but today's leftist central government has learned from OKC -- and is preemptively planning to use any conservative uprising to draw folks like you to their side -- as they (obviously) just did:

"I don’t find this warning unreasonable at all. It is actually responsible government action and if they didn’t act on this, I would consider it incompetence or laziness. Ignore history, condemned to repeat...or something like that?"

The most insightful analysis of the 1995 situation was done by a Brit, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard. Do as i did, and Google [Pritchard+Clinton+"Air Force One"+"Oklahoma City"].

I was amazed to learn that Ambrose Evans-Pritchard's book is being serialized online -- starting this very day:

Relaxing on Air Force One after the 1996 elections, Bill Clinton told a pool of reporters that he owed his political revival to the Oklahoma bombing. He was in a reflective mood, looking back at the ups and downs of his turbulent presidency. As so often, his thoughts lingered on those first painful months after the Republicans captured both Houses of Congress for the first time in almost two generations. It had been a stinging rebuke for the White House. But then that bomb went off. "It broke a spell in the country as people began searching for our common ground again," he said.

{SNIP}

President Clinton's analysis cannot be faulted. The bombing had a catalytic effect, abruptly changing the chemistry of American politics. One has to think back to the mood in Washington in April 1995 to understand what Clinton meant. The Republican Congress was completing its one hundred-day march; the Contract with America was being rushed through the House at breakneck speed; and the world was kneeling in obeisance before Speaker Newt Gingrich, even as President Clinton spoke plaintively of being "relevant."

I was intimately involved in the engineering analysis of the collapse of the Murrah Building. The physical evidence left me with lingering doubts re the government's published explanation of the collapse. However, the malfeasant behavior of every branch of federal bureaucracy with which I came into contact left me with zero doubt that the evidence had been manipulated and misrepresented by the very agencies which should have been exposing the truth for us -- at the direction of a leftist Executive Branch.

I am no particular fan of WND; I would not have known about their re-posting had I not Googled to find Clinton's heartless statement re OKC. However, A E-P's book is well worth reading. I advise everyone to avail themselves of this online opportunity to do so.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are correct: history is repeating. You are wrong: this is not "responsible government action". It is a blatant preemptive move to turn any action by conservatives into another claim of assault by "a vast right-wing conspiracy" on this much-farther left central government.
If anyone thinks that "demonization of the opposition" was confined to the Clintons, you ain't seen nothing, yet!
BOHICA!
“The government always uses the some isolated incident in the past to scare us into surrendering our rights in the future. Should we just roll over and take it because some whacko like McVeigh decided to declare war on the government years ago? He was a total nut, a freak, not representative of the right wing at all.”
What rights are they taking away? This is a notice to look for patterns, or a reminder really to local law enforcement as many local PDs can get lazy like any other government entity. They’re advised to look out for erratic statements in arrests, large and unusual purchases or thefts of chemicals, equipment, etc that can be used for bombings, etc. No rights are being trounced here, just an advisement of prudent foresight and proactive measures.
If we built a new large base in Saudi Arabia, a small bombing occurred against a US military base overseas and then some arab whack job came on TV to renew a declaration of war against the US, advisories like this one would go out to all local PDs just the same since it is based on past history, in this case, the 1992 to 1997 time frame preceeding Al-Quaeda’s actions and 9/11.
If the Obama administration actually infringes on rights not already ceded by the Patriot Act (can’t blame Obama for that one), let me know. Until then, this thread is full of paranoid nonsense.
