Here are some images from the Tampa Tea Party today. Local cops estimate about 3000 people.

I had a great time. American flags were waved not burned. Cars were not flipped over. Storefront windows were not broken. ------------------------------------------------------

This was how it looked as we approaced Gas Lykes park in downtown Tampa. This is Kennedy Blvd, more or less the main street going thru downtown. Until the speakers got going, most were along the sidewalks waving signs at the cars going by and getting people to honk their horns in support.

--------------------------------------------------------- I have got to get me one of these Gadsen flags. If your going to br labeled as a Right Wing Extremeist....you might as go all the way. Personally, I like it becase of the historical factor.

You have to love the high number of hand painted signs. That is a sign of how organic this is.....Its not organised by a company or a "Community Activist Group" littered with professionally printed signs hot off the Kinkoes presses.

This movement has legs...lets keep it going!

I was at the Sacramento Tea Party and it was huge. Lots of pissed of Americans from both parties. Pelosi, Reid, and Zero can try to laugh it off, shrug, and act not concerned all they want, but the American people are beyond angry.

My brother was at the Alamo Tea Party and it was huge. I watched it live on Fox and I was so proud of my Texas brothers and sisters.

Hi! Hubby and I were at the Tampa Tea Party from noon to 6:00. Had a great time talking with folks and of course mentioning Free Republic!

Also took some time to stand on the street with others to show off our signs to the passer by folks. Received lots of honks in support!

And yes, I said, “I’ll pay when Geithner pays and put my tax bill on Timmy’s tab!” :)

Tampa was well represented today. I do not go downtown often. We parked at Channelside and walked all the way to and from the park.

It was worth it.

Today was a good day Red.

The fascists are worried, their jingoism and propaganda have not worked,

Now they will begin to turn to violence.The Napolitano Homeland Security warning is the beginning of genuine fascism in America.

And the sooner they start, the sooner we get rid of them.The fight is ON!!!!

I just got a report from a St. Augustine volunteer, there was not enough trash left on the ground to fill a small shopping bag. The lefties leave a mess, anytime they have a rally.

I was there! It was great! You’re right, all the signs were different. That was indicative of how genuine it was.

How many people would you say were there? 3000+?

I was overwhelmed by the percentage of drivers who supported us. We are the majority, it’s tie we started acting like it.

Mine was rather large print on white with red border. Said “I’LL PAY WHEN GEITHNER PAYS! on one side and “PUT MY TAX BILL ON TIMMY’S TAB!” on the other. :)

Wonder how many other FL Freepers were there. :) Hope you will be coming to our Frepper Convention in Orlando on April 25th!

I was talking to one of the cops there one the way out and asked him. He guestimated 3000+

I’d love to go to the Party on the 25th but have to work that day.....will be there in Spirit tho :-)

Wow, great to see. This makes me proud of my hometown, which I left four years ago for the mountains of Virginny.
I went to a tea party today in (C)harlottesville, which is a Liberal American Mecca. Y’all have your USF, we have our UVA; ugh.

My husband and I went to the 5 to 7 party. I thought there were about 3000. What a great crowd and so many flags!

Sure was! We left at 6PM as we had been there since noon.

And to think that Obama said he “wasn't aware of the Tea Parties”! Shows just how AWARE the man is!
