About 7,500 people showed up at the Tea Party at Save Mart Center, one of thousands held around the country on tax day.
Fresno was just one of thousands of cities to host a tea party on Wednesday and was also one of the largest events in the county.
The event is based on the pre-revolutionary war protests in Boston, where Americans took a stance against excessive government taxation.
The people at the tea party in Fresno say they don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat. They say everyone, from every background or social standing should be upset about the current trend of big government, big spending policies and huge corporate bailouts.
Its not known if all the protests will have any affect on the politicians but that didnt stop the people attending from making their feelings known.

Revolting bump!
Well, doggone it, there was just one thing missing - no, actually TWO things missing.....Syncro and Dr.Zoo. :-(
Good for you!!! Nice to hear that people in my old hometown turned out in good numbers.
I can’t take credit, MamaBear took some and others were from CentralValleyTeaParty.com!
Wow! Great turnout! Thanks for the ping to the pics of the TEA party in Your neck -o- the woods,MB !:)
BIGGEST TURNOUT IN THE COUNTRY...Awesome!
7500! Wow!
Thanks for the ping. Glad to see the pictures of you and the flag. :-)
And thank you for sending me the Gadsen flag! Love it!!
Hi Maj. HUGS!!
I was pretty sure that was an exaggeration, and now I hear that the Tea Party in Florida had nearly 20 thousand. We had a great turnout, but we didn't have a draw like Hannity or Michelle Malkin. Still, we has some great speakers and thousands of impassioned patriotic Americans. I am so proud of us! I am proud to hear about all the Tea Parties that happened all across the country.
I think it is safe to say that we are a force to be reckoned with and it would behoove our elected politicians to take note of that fact.
I was ecstatic to see so many young folks there.
HUGS back!
Oh okay...Still, 7,500 is a HUGE #...
I know You already agree,I’m just re:stating,is all.:)
Glad it was such a good experience; one of the best days in Your life even!
That conveys volumns about how great it must have been!
Sorry, I never got one face-on photo of Melissa (but I know my husband did). She was like a little white tornado, flying all over that place. She came flying into our 5th wheel to beg some sugar and creamer for her coffee (I couldn’t do much to help her, but at least I could sweeten her coffee, LOL!). That was my only chance to snap a shot of her AND I MISS IT!!! :-(
What a great event ... and a special thanks to everyone who posted photos! Now the big question is ... WHAT’S NEXT?
July 4th I heard, or June 14 (Flag Day).
BTW, I posted my photos as a link so the the thread wouldn’t become “graphic heavy”.
You have freepmail.
There was a reason I posted the link to the photos and not the actual photos. It was to keep the thread from becoming "graphic heavy".
I appreciate if you want to contribute to the thread, but please find some other way of doing it.
Thank you for trying to help, and I don't mean to be ungrateful, but if I want my photos posted on this thread, I will post them.
