A Marine's Welcome Home: FReep/Rally 45 - Westminster, MD 4-11-09

Our local Hero and Marine, LCpl. Joshua Staples returned home safely from his 1st deployment! He looks great and we can’t thank him enough for serving our country and making us so proud. Joshua’s Mom, PatrioticMarineMom planned a surprise Welcome Home Party for him and invited a few more family and friends than Joshua expected. He was definitely surprised! We had a great time at The Stables of Westminster,
which we decorated with a few signs, flags and centerpieces. The time flew by, but what a night to remember! Our favorite Hero and Marine, home at last, at least for a little bit! OOORAH!!!

On to the FReep/Rally. This is a little backwards, but just had to share the exciting news first! Saturday was rainy and chilly. We were watching the weather to see if it would clear up in time for My Hero, Chris to come with us. It didn’t so Anomoly99 offered to take my place. It was just as well since I had a few centerpieces to make for Josh’s Welcome Home Party. Also thought it would be nice for an all-male FReep/Rally for a change! Not much to report although PatrioticMarineMom and our returning Marine, Josh along with his friend, Andrew showed up. There are just 2 pictures, which is more than [Mr] Trooprally had in his Olney AAR! Current ones, that is. Photos are courtesy of Anomoly99. Geeez, and [Mr] T gets on me for making sure I take enough. I will not include the moonbats since it’s the same old picture and don’t want to ruin this special edition AAR! There were only 2 moonbats while there were 3 on our side. [Mr] T couldn’t resist picking on the moonbats as they left early again. He asked them where there conviction was for just 10 more minutes and especially on a nice day!

2ND AND LAST SATURDAY 3-4:30pm
Please join us if you can. We especially need extra boots on the corner, on the 2nd and last Saturday of each month, when we counter protest the moonbats. The Westminster Gathering/FReep is located on the east side of E. Main Street opposite the library at 50 East Main Street. There is public parking on Winters Street. Follow the signs.
