Donaldson on This Week on JFK Assassination: I'd Like to Ask Castro 'Did You Do It?'

ABC's Sam Donaldson let a little of his inner-conspiracy theorist out this morning on This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

In a discussion of President Barack Obama's lessening the sanctions on Fidel Castro's Cuba, Donaldson began his analysis with one of a number a Kennedy-Truther notions that have been knocking around ever since President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963....

Another wild card in this crazy deck was Cuba's El Presidente, Castro. The theory being that Castro was upset with JFK's woefully planned and executed Bay of Pigs attempt at ending his nascent dictatorship, and therefore exacted his revenge by executing the 35th President.

Donaldson's buy-in for this house-of-cards game is apparently the Castro connection.

To wit:

I don’t know about that...

I mean..., LBJ/Billie Sol Estes scandal, dropping LBJ from ticket, LBJ goes to jail for rest of his life, so LBJ has Kennedy killed, uses Warren Commission for white-wash and “buries” the whole thing...

That seems pretty simple and *connected* to me... lots of motive and real good reason for an assassination — in “real life terms” for a politician such as LBJ and especially with his history...

Oswald.

From the TSBD.

3 shots.

To show the wife what a big man he was.

The murder is not about Kennedy, or what he did or didn't do.

It's about Oswald, and the total failure at life he was. The delusional, sad pathetic man who had no friends, no future, and had made little mark on society as a whole until Nov 22, 1963.

You’re in the minority, in regards to public opinion, on the matter of JFK... :-)

_________

And Damn proud of it! I can’t help if others lack basic critical thinking capacity. More and more people sane people who bother to R-E-A-D about Oswald and the assasination are coming to my side as years go by. The more recent documentaries and re-creations using modern forensics show Oswald is the killer. As if the mountains of evidence against Oswald needed more reinforcements.

Oswald is the most obviously guilty figure in the history of crime. No crime has been more distorted. It’s like people who still claim the Rosenbergs were innocent, either they haven’t studied the EVIDENCE or they just have a political axe to grind.

Other people have no B.S. meters at all, they will always accept the most far-fetched explanations of anything and NEVER bother to view or read the other side or confuse their fantastical thinking with boring things like facts, figures, etc.

Conspiracy theorists continue to repeat the same debunked “facts” that have been proven wrong over and over and over. This is human nature, it’s easier and more fun to believe this nonsense than to really try and get to the truth.

No thanks to being in that kind of “majority”.

I’m in the vast minority who believes homosexuality is, has been, and will always be a mental disorder. I can care less what the masses are programmed to believe.

You said — The delusional, sad pathetic man who had no friends, no future, and had made little mark on society ...

That’s the “cover” for getting into the Soviet Union to spy as a double-agent for the CIA. You don’t call attention to yourself and you move around a lot and you keep a low profile except for the “job” at hand...

He was also involved in the Fair Play for Cuba thing in New Orleans, too, another CIA operation at infiltrating some of the Cuban groups to gather intel...

We can see that his “cover” worked and still does “work” to this day... which is why he was silenced by Ruby...

No one has ever put much credence into the Aristotle Onassis angle. But it is one that at least bears looking at.

9-11 conspiracy theorists make automatically become loons to me. It’s so ridiculous that I can’t believe they think it. There is no evidence whatsoever and tons of facts, evidence and proof of how it happened and who did it.

I think LBJ has more “real-life reasons” for the assassination in regards to him going to jail for life for the Billie Sol Estes scandal and Kennedy dropping him off the ticket at the right time with Robert Kennedy being in charge of launching an investigation into that scandal at the right time to “dump” LBJ...

LBJ has my vote... as he’s got a *reason*... and Oswald has no reason at all...

My father wrote a book with a woman, Marita Lorenz who was a spy for the US who, she claims, was sent to CUBA to kill Castro. Fascinating story. But she fell in love with him instead.

You said — There are so many theories, we will never know for sure.

The LBJ/Billie Sol Estes angle works for me... :-)

Ummm..., are you saying you don’t believe that LBJ had Kennedy killed, in order to keep from being dropped off the Kennedy ticket and going to jail for the rest of his life? LOL...

That seems like plenty of strong motive to me, at least, for a Democrat, anyway... :-)

LBJ has my vote... as he’s got a *reason*... and Oswald has no reason at all...

_____________

With that statement, you have just show you know nothing about the assasination at all.

This statement shows you know nothing about Oswald, typical for most Conspiracy theorists.

Just like 9/11 Conspiracy Theorists you first totally throw out the most likely suspect and give him/it no credence at all and venture off into various fantasies which have nothing to do with the obvious guilty party, who is totally discarded or laughed off as a possible suspect. It’s just a wild party of illogic after that leap of faith.

You drank lots of that JFK kool aid I see....

What you’re missing in all this is that the lib sees thru the prism of the psychological, NOT the factual.

Here’s the hypocrisy of the libs on JFK. While they WANT you to believe that their Majesty JFK could only be taken down by the mightiest of world conspiracies, at the same time they spend all this time worrying that some dumb two-bit KKK hater could make an attempt on Zero’s life? I thought Zero was as invincible as JFK! Only a huge world leader conspiracy can take their guys down!

LBJ to prison? This wouldn’t have happened. The most that would’ve taken place was LBJ resigns in ridicule. There’s no way JFK let’s it go that far. With all his flaws, he was still a Patriot, God rest his soul.

JFK libs have been selling books, movies, TV shows, documentaries, etc. There’s a whole market dedicated to this event 40 years later. It wouldn’t profit them to let you think otherwise.

How come there’s no talk about the attempt on Reagan’s life, hmm? Also, Nixon, I believe, was partially collateral damage for the lack of justice they saw in the JFK outcome.

Oh... and this, too... :-)

You said — How come there’s no talk about the attempt on Reagan’s life, hmm?

Well, heaven-forbid that he would have been killed.

But, for sake of discussion, here on this thread, I can “make it interesting...” If you had wanted a “good thriller” — he would have had to have been killed — you would have to have a “magic bullet” that can change directions about three or four times...

Then, you would have to have some connection (oh... let’s say...) to Iran (that would make it “interesting”), and then you would have to have some CIA contacts involved and then have two additional shooters seen in the area by other witnesses...

Reagan’s body would have to “go missing” for a few hours where no one knows where it’s at. And also, don’t forget to add in the component of conflicting doctor’s reports — the local doctors on the scene, and the government/military doctors giving the “official” report.

And, maybe you could put in the part about the “missing brain” for good measure, whether you think that’s useful or not, I don’t know... LOL...

ALSO, don’t forget to have a “white-wash” cover-up government commission, too....

Put all that “in the mix” — and I’ll bet you have a “conspiracy story” with Reagan... LOL..

The problem with Reagan... ummmm..., there was no conspiracy theory and he survived...

LOL! Maybe you disagree with me, but I think you see my logic here ;-)

I saw both assassinations, I read and saw many documentaries, albeit in some cases I didn’t give it 100% of my attention, but to me, after learning what I did of Giancana and Joe Kennedy, Sinatra, the assassination footage, the way the mafia operates, and knowing liberal thinking, I quickly came to this conclusion.

I wasn’t born of that era, but my Dad was a JFK fan, so I have a small bit of understanding the psycology. I think this gives me a great point of objectivity on the matter IMHO.

________

ONLY in your fantasies.

You’re far off the deep end where you actually believe you are privy to sensitive information or have uncovered secrets, etc. Your postings on this thread are hysterical...in more ways than one.

The funny part is you couldn’t be further away from the truth, all the while thinking that you are really the insightful, perceptive one, while the rest of us dupes have no idea what we’re talking about. Again, typical of the all-knowing Conspiracy Theorist, believing the most ridiculous, far-fetched, illogical, explanation INSTEAD of the one that can actually be proven with facts, forensics, science, etc. ACTUAL truth means nothing to folks like you, especially when it’s as boring as “Oswald acted alone”. That’s a theory you will NEVER investigate!!!!!! Only the fantastic can hold the CT’s attention.

All I’m saying is the libs cultivate a market of all tragedies that advance their agenda. Reagan didn’t, otherwise, there would’ve been a market to make conspiracies for him too.

To them, JFK (no offense to him) was better than all the Presidents who came after him, and many before him. JFK was elected in the generation of the spoiled baby boomers, who think history starts and ends with them.
