The Food and Drug Administration, reversing field, will now let 17-year-olds get the 'morning-after' birth control pill without a doctor's prescription, a government health official said Wednesday.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the agency will announce that it is complying with a federal judge's order that overturns a Bush administration policy. The official was not authorized to speak publicly before the FDA announcement, expected later Wednesday....

17 today, 14 tomorrow? Why the line once we’ve excused some of those below adulthood?
And what if they attempt to take “extra just to be sure” after the fact, since they do not have doctor’s supervision when they use this?

Want to bet that the 17 year old will be allowed to get the pill without parents’ consent? One of the goals of the left is to promote promiscuity among teenagers, so that they will be promiscuous when they grow up, and thus be good little liberals.
Of course it is. I don’t think these agencies check any of this out especially in their needless hurry to bring anything unsafe to the marketplace.
