From a Native Texan, who had ancestors that were Texans when it was a Republic, “Texas is a state of Mind and Heart.”
Some of us were born here, and others were not. Regardless, you can still be born a Texan.
To paraphrase a mighty article about being “Born American, but born in the wrong place.”

Texans can expect to be overrun with immigrant and refugees.
Red states are the last hope folks. The RATS are going to continue to take our money and feed the government beast. I thought we could not wait for the stimulus?

Why do you think Uncle Ted moved here. And Chuck Norris. And the thousands from the upper mid west in the late 70’s. And the thousands from Kalifornia in the 90’s. And the thousands from Mexico for the last 20 years. And the hundreds who left New Orleans after Katrina. Right to work state. No state income tax. Decent weather. Lots of folks like those at the tea party in San Antonio on Fox. Just don’t bring your goofy liberal ideas down here to infect our state. Austin is our liberal blight. Leave the rest of the state alone.

At this time, with such great men as Mr. Nugent, Governor Perry and our glorious President Bush I can honestly say “I am a Texan”. I will go as Texas goes.
