Wondering how all the anti-Republican "I'm not gonna vote for McCain" folks think about about what they got?
What do these same . . . true believers . . . believe is in store for us during the mid-term elections?
Chat, not news.
97% of us voted for Sarah, so don't blame us for that POS reading from the 'prompter.
I think you’re going to be even more unhappy and whiney after the next election if you think you can scare people into voting your way.
BTW yes I choked back my bile and voted for that pathetic piece of trash McQueeg.
I voted for Palin.
She did the best she could swimming with an anvil around her neck.
Likewise. Never again.
Most here probably voted for McCain...but the majority of the American electorate voted for Obama. Remember?
"I'm not gonna vote for McCain" FReeper voted to McCain he still would have lost. Face it he was a bad candidate with a bad message. I held my nose a voted for him. He should never had won the nomination in the first place.
Now, by "us" do you mean conservatives or Republicans (emphasis on the big "R")?
Personally, I believe that conservatives who actually live what they believe, trust in a higher power, and continue to stand their ground, even against terrible odds, will continue to shine for freedom and, of course, to derail both Democrat and RINO enemies of all that America is and all that she stands for.
As for the Republicans, they have failed miserably. Whether they come to their senses and regain their position as the political standard bearer of conservatism, or whether they voluntarily give themselves up for assimilation into the Marxist-controlled Democrat party...is entirely up to them.
Mid-term elections, Jim?
Most of us held our nose and voted for him.
But remember, we warned you. You can’t beat the Dems running a guy who mostly agrees with them. You beat them running someone who can explain why we’re right and they’re wrong.
I pulled the lever for the only American citizen on the final ballot. It just happened to be John Mccain.
I would rather lose then compete with the socialists.
BTW - I did vote for Palin not for McCain.
RINOs can KMA!!
I hereby declare my personal independence from RINOs, weak-kneed sissy boy moderates and light-in-the-loafers wannabe Republicans!! You’re either a fire breathing, hard as nails, no nonsense, take no prisoners, proven pro-life, pro-gun, pro-borders, pro-small government, pro-America conservative in both word and DEED or you do NOT get my vote, my endorsement or my support!!
The enemy is within the gates!!
If McCrap is the best we can do, we are beyond screwed.
You’re far too modest. Tell us how you really feel.
I voted for Hunter in the primary and would again if he ran. The GOP is too busy proving they can make the same mistakes for me to believe they even want to win.
Get the answer you’re looking for yet?
I agree.
Come on Jim, quit beating around the bush...
(I hate having to read between the lines to figure out what someone is saying, you;re almost as ad as a politician these days.)
/Sarc
I would not add a word to that summation Jim.
Hooah.
Me too.
Man I wish I would learn to read these things before I hit post...
I think that he [Russell Kirk] would have said; hey look; every age has its convulsions. Its the challenge to the conservative eye to detect that which you desire to save as distinguished from that which you very much want to get rid of...” - William F Buckley Jr.
McCain was and is weak, I refused to vote for another big government Republican as I did with Bush. McCain was nothing more that Obama in drag and would have stabbed us in the back in the end. Conservative does not mean Republican.
Notice:
Anyone who looks like, quacks like, waddles like, squawks like, thinks like, votes like Benedict Arnold Specter is a RINO. RINOs are traitors! Traitors beware!! Judgment day is here!!
For the ill informed you had it both ways the more conservative and more liberal candidate all rolled up into 'the one.'
Geez, Jim:
That was an utterly strident, passionate and entirely useless reply.
With the influence you and this forum have to martial, the question remains, “what do we do for the mid-term elections?”
I'm wondering how all the arrogant GOP "leaders," that foisted one of the most despised Republicans onto the electorate as the presidential nominee, feel about their theory that "of course they'll vote for him. Where else are they going to go?"
Note to RNC: When you hear your base cry year after year "I will not vote for that SOB," believe them!
I wonder who pissant supported for POTUS in the ‘08 GOP Presidential Primary?
Correction
Three things.
One, purge RINOs. McCain is up in 2010.
Two, elect, or re-elect, real, genuine conservatives. DeMint is up in 2010. The whole House is up for grabs, too. Re-elect Bachmann and McClintock, for starters.
Three, and finally, place your trust in the Almighty. Pray, and trust, that Providence will smile upon our cause.
Hear! Hear!

Vote ‘em out!
Wonder how all the liberal republicans, we will force you to vote for McCain like what they got.
So take your Arlen Spector muck and go back to where you came from.
“Get the answer you’re looking for yet?”
You’re the guy or gal who appealed to the moderator to move the question to chat.
No. I haven’t yet gotten the answer I’m looking for and if it is the answer I might follow as advice, I might follow the suggested answer.
I think a lot of us are looking to something in the aftermath of Conservative’s failure to preserve some semblance of power and influence . . . which FreeRepublic surrendered to.
For all the Gomer Pyle comments made in this thread, the effective, power question remains, “What do we do to win the mid-term elections?”
Let’s ask the experts:
Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.
- John Quincy Adams -
The probability that we may fail in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.
- Abraham Lincoln -
Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God.
- George Washington
Heh---beautiful.
The punkeos leashed up McC----AFTER the loser punks couldn't get their boy Giuliani arrested---he was that bad of a candidate.
Rooty spend $63 nillion and got one delegate that he shared----he obsessively ran in every primary/caucus state and lost time after time. The lisping hunchback SAID he was saving himself for Fla---campaigned there 63 days straight and came in a distant third.
And now------The Winner of the 2008 Best Election Night Performance Award in the category of:
"Neos Know Nothing About this Republican Disaster."

Billy Kristol (McC campaign mastermind)
"Thank you very much. But I could not have done it without the help of all the
punkeos--David Frum, Michael Gerson, David Brooks, Richard Perle.....and
my Dearest Daddy."
"Sniffle---my Dearest Daddy (who was Giuliani's foreign policy advisor) said,
"The historical task and political purpose of neoconservatism is.....to convert the
Republican Party and American conservatism in general, against their
respective wills, into a new kind of conservative politics suitable to
governing a modern democracy."
"Sob."
"I especially want to thank punkneo Douglas Feith for faking documents on his
home computer so we punkneos could dupe the president."
"Without Doug we would not have been able to transfer trillions of US dollars
into the Mideast, into the pockets of war profiteers, which enabled Richard Perle
to startup an oil business in Iraq with his cut."
Kristol smirked: "Making Iraq safe for Perle's oil business with US tax dollars was truly a noble punkneo effort."
==============================================
COMMENTS The 2008 political entrail readings showed the crucial conservative base stayed home. Too bad the pukes "forget" to tell McC that would be one outcome of the punkneo-RINO bi-partisanship. Be aware that many senior neocons are rank opportunists who squatted in the Repub Party for their selfish stealth purposes-----they are actually former Trotskyites that flew the coop when Stalin executed their hero.
AS FREEPER TADSLOS COGENTLY POSTED: "People forget that candy-ass Kristol, and his crony, metro-sexual Brooks are the original makeover artists for McCain post-2000. They are McC's original groomers and media switch operators.....obsessed with religious cleansing of the party. Kristol at his most smirkiest---urging McCain to fire his 2008 staff, to start all over at the 11th hour, as McC's numbers tanked. Shows how how ill-conceived, advised, equipped and poorly managed McC's campaign was. But then, what else to expect from a Republican candidate made up of neopunks Kristol and Brooks." Kristol championed McCain early on calculatingly "supporting" Palin only to gauge the political winds.
Watching Kristol smirking and squirming in his Fox seat election night as McC lost was a consolation prize to this abortion of a losing 2008 election cycle.
LOL, I do the same thing, LOL
believe is in store for us during the mid-term elections?
****************8
Unfortunately, the Establishment GOP will likely pick up seats.
Unfortunate because, while Obama/Dems are the express train on the statist/globalst track, the establishment GOP political class is driving the “local” on the same track.
Either way, we arrive at the same destination.
Vin
Kristol and his bud Fred Barnes need to move on with Spector.
Mega-Ditto.
What are YOU going to do, genius? And cease with using phrases such as "effective power question", you appear silly.
However I am getting really tired of these high minded moderates posting stupid vanities as though they are above US all asking stupid questions about how Conservatives ‘feel’, as if the intent was real concern.
