He was a good man. More conservative than his Presidential running mate in 1996.

RIP Jack, you were one of the good Republicans. Had he some shortcomings, as Dole’s VP pick, but despite that, he was the kind of man sadly lacking in today’s GOP.

I worked a small campaign event for him once, very impressive man and a pretty good Quarterback. Prayers for his family.

That is so sad. I got the impression from some articles I had read that he wasn’t doing well since we had not heard from him lately. He was a good man and a good conservative who challenged the status quo. Personally, I think he is the man Reagan should have picked for VP in 1980. My condolences to his family. God bless him and I thank him for his service to his country.
