But yeah, they are still operating under a system of centralized control over the means of production, have human Rights policies that would even make a Berkely resident upset, and have zero intention of changing anything from what I’ve seen over the last ten years.
Centralized means of production? Maybe that was true in 1985. Even the state industries are quasi capitalistic. China is authoritarian but so are a lot of places. Heck, as we speak, Christian converts are under threat of the death penality in Afghanistan....and nobody particularly cares. The Chinese, for all their faults, don’t do that!
There were articles here over the past or so about the Communist Party stripping those same corporations of all profit to help feed the government.

I “came up with it” from his many interviews during the campaign and it used to be on his web site. It’s amazing the things his supporters are ignorant of. If he now says he’s for the border fence, that’s new which proves what a phony he is.
I listened to many of the interviews during that period, and the wealth of position papers on his websites and NEVER came up with anything close to what you have stated he said.
I am a support of RP's ideas of a return to Constitutionalism, abortion as anti-freedom, small government, etc., not necessarily a support of RP, personally.
But it is amazing to me the lengths that RP detractors will go to in order to slime, slander him and put words in his mouth that he never said. Don't like RP's ideas? Fine. Argue that. But lying about him is just BS. It's "bearing false witness" and it is just flat-out destructive to all concerned.
The facts are that Ron Paul didn’t have much to say about border security, illegal aliens except this, from your link

That was his position for years. Only recently has he even suggested more border security. You can’t find one time that Paul actually sponsored or cosponsored any thing for border security except for that typical ‘no welfare’ line. He’s never bothered to address just how he would ‘end welfare’, because he knows it can’t be done.
His vote for MFN for China was another boneheaded move.
Look, I was posting articles by Ron Paul 10 years ago when no one else had heard of him. He has a lot worth listening to. Border security was never one of his strong suits.
Did you know there was a big amnesty in 2002? Ron voted FOR it.

I know that RP is against using our military at the border, so that's a non-argument between us. I don't disagree on that, because to use our military for that during peace time is isn't the best idea -- a military during peace time that can keep them out, could also be used to keep us in!
I tried looking up H.R. 1885 for 1997, and came up with a resolution to clear Harry Mudd's name -- clearly not the bill you are talking about so I have no idea what happened there.

Like I said before, it isn't RP personally that I am a fan of, it's his message. But I've seen so much truly untrue things written about him, that I am skeptical when I see slams on issues that I know aren't true.

Ron Paul, who’s got a record of opposing illegal immigration, trying to stop the anchor baby problem, and generally standing up for the Constitution...or...hmmm...someone who’s posted that they would rush to vote for Rudy Giuliani and leaps to defend Dubya’s record on immigration?
