Interior Secretary: Statue Of Liberty ‘Is About Pres. Obama’s Agenda’
FinkelBlog ^ | Mark Finkelstein

It really is all about Obama, isn’t it? The president’s Interior Secretary went on Today this morning and proclaimed that the Statue Of Liberty is “is about Pres. Obama’s agenda.”

Ken Salazar was there to announce that, after having been closed subsequent to 9-11, the crown of the statue would be re-opened on July 4th. The entire Today crew is broadcasting from the statue this morning.

Here’s the transcript of Salazar’s vainglorious claim, made in an exchange with Matt Lauer:

I never thought I’d say this, but I think I’ve reached my saturation point with Obama and the MSM. I read something like this and I just think “Why get mad? The MSM will just praise him for it, and the American people will just watch The View.”

There couldn’t be a bigger contradiction in terms.

True that the MSM will praise Obama no matter how he screws up, but I disagree that "the American people will just watch The View". Given Fox's meteoric rise to the top of the news ratings, I think that people are tuning out the biased MSM. The ones who watch "The View" are the same ones who watch "Oprah", and are pure Obama-ites anyway.

When it was originally gifted to us it came with a plaque (since removed by evil white guys) that said:

“Some day a Magic Negro will rise up and make America Whole.”

And so it came to pass. We have our Magic Negro and he is putting America in a Whole Lot of Sh*t.

I still believe that Obama was on Air Force One on that photo op, looking lovingly out the window at Lady Liberty,
we will not know because apparently those pictures are a state secret and classified.

Statue Of Liberty is “is about Pres. Obama’s agenda.”

OK, now tell me that he had nothing to do with the decision to try to get a photo op of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty in the background.

Which is proof that the sculptor of the Statue of Liberty, Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi, was not only an artistic and structural genius, but he was able to predict the future!!!

Excellent point! I’m going to mention it in an update in the original article.

BTW, are you a parrot lover? I have a lovebird, a Congo grey and a red-fronted macaw.

How ironic since 0bama wants nothing more but to shackle his opposition. Fraud still putting up a front.

Ha! I think we should gift it back to France as they at least have Sarkozy and are on the path to freedom as we are heading toward tyranny!

Ahhhhh....Now the photo op makes sense. So to say the Prez didn’t know is ridiculous....which it is anyways.

Assuming the statue was shut so that some loon would not carry a bomb up there and blow the statue’s head off.

The reopening is in some sense “about Obama” (Bush obviously didn’t consider it worth the risk) but the whole bleeding statue? What a puff head. What a maroon.
