Dom, Dom DiMaggio
He’s better than his brother, Joe.
- A cry heard in Fenway Park in the 1940’s and 50’s.
The Sox celebrated his life by setting an American League record for runs scored in an inning without recording an out, 12, tying the major league record set by the 1954 Brooklyn Dodgers.

Wow. Joe’s little brother. I had never heard of him. Obviously a great player, who for some of us, was lost in the shadow of his more famous brother.

Stay, don’t forget. While Dom was a standout in Center field, a guy named “Ted” was in Left.

The other day my son, who recently turned 5, was asking me who someone was, but at first I couldn’t recognize the name. Then I realized he was saying: “Who is Joltin’ Joe DiMaggio?”

Didn’t Williams play right?
