H.R. 2324--Aiming At Registering Gun Owners And Putting Gun Shows Out Of Business |
Friday, May 08, 2009 |
On May 6, at a press conference with Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign, U.S. Representatives Michael Castle (R-Del.) and Carolyn McCarthy (D-N.Y.) introduced H.R. 2324--the "Gun Show Loophole Closing Act." Masquerading as reform, H.R. 2324 would impose severe bureaucratic restrictions aimed at shutting down gun shows. The bill is essentially a re-introduction of the failed H.R. 96, introduced in the 110th Congress. Despite changes from the Lautenberg juvenile justice amendment of 1999, on which the measure is based, H.R. 2324 fails to address gun owners' most significant concerns. In several areas it is even more restrictive than past attempts to regulate gun shows. H.R. 2324 would create gun owner registration, massive new government red tape, and allow harassment of gun show organizers, vendors and attendees. The bill also ignores a glaring problem--multiple government studies prove gun shows are not a source of "crime guns." Anti-gun Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) introduced a companion bill (S. 843) in the U.S. Senate in late April. Please be sure to contact your U.S. Representative and urge him or her to strongly oppose H.R. 2324; and please be sure to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to strongly oppose S. 843! Oh God Here we go! Socialist take over and here comes the gun laws.
They’re reasoning! Were just trying to close the Gun Show loop hole!
Give me a break!
It’s referred to the judiciary committee.
Hopefully we can kill it before it gets a chance to grow legs.

I forgot to include my thoughts. The rats took control of Congress in 2006 by running to the right on gun control and abortion. IMHO, this is just a bone to the gun grabbers in their base. It goes nowhere with yellow and blue dogs.
If they push hard enough something’s going to pop! They are totally ignoring the mood of a whole bunch of citizens!
Yes, good old boy Mike Castle, who never worked at a REAL job his entire life, is at it again, representing the people of Delaware.
I will remind him of the 2nd Amendment - again.
I am going to a evil GUN show today and its being held at the NATIONAL GUARD ARMORY. Lock And Load.
DINOS and RINOs don’t understand the words:
“...Shall NOT be Infringed”.
And 4 out of 9 of the Supremes have trouble understanding these words also.
Don’t forget to buy some garden hose and a beagle. You’ll need those to flush these prissy-boys out of their rabbit holes when it’s time.

And it's easier for her to blame everyone and everything else, except herself.

I just bought 1,224 rounds of 7.62X25 Tokarev ammo for 150, including shipping, from Sportsmans Guide. It’s in a metal “spam can,” Romanian made in the 1980s. It launches an 85 grain FMJ bullet at 1,650fps.
This remaining ammo “deal” is enough reason to pick up a milsurp Czeck CZ-52 pistol.
Here's my tip of the month: there is still a great pistol and ammo deal out there waiting for you. If you have waited too long to arm up, or if you want one more, look at the excellent milsurp CZ-52 pistol and 7.62X25 Tokarev ammo.
You can get a CZ-52 for about $200 at any gun show or at many gun stores. You can also find them by googling around the internet. The ammo can be had for as low as 11 cents a bullet in any quantity you want. Extra mags are from $12 to $20 each.
The milsurp ammo is full metal jacket, firing an 85gr bullet at 1,600fps. These will go through car doors, kevlar helmets, kevlar vests etc like an icepick through butter. OTOH, they will also go through one bad guy and maybe hit a good guy behind him.
However, you can buy hollowpoints ("Wolf Gold" with brass shells) for about $19/50, or half the price of comparable 9mm JHPs. My test "Wolf Gold" JHP ammo expanded to .60 caliber, the same as my test 9mm JHPs.
So for $400, you could buy a CZ-52, 1,500 rounds of assorted ammo, and a few extra mags. OR, you could buy about 2/3s of a "brand name" pistol, and no ammo.
It's just a thought. This is a great bargain. The ammo is cheap and plentiful at all of the internet catalog sites. Don't wait, the libtards will soon slam the door on foreign gun and ammo imports, and the prices will go way up.
Another benefit of this pistol is that it is very accurate, with very fine sights. WIth this flat-shooting ammo, you can hit at 100 yards with ease. Downsides are brittle firing pins (buy a spare, and don't dry fire) and a decocking function that you should not trust. Just lower the SA hammer like a 1911. The safety works like a 1911, so if you are used to 1911s, it will be very easy to use the CZ-52
Just keep pushing, commies.
>>Downsides are brittle firing pins (buy a spare, and don’t dry fire) and a decocking function that you should not trust.
Your public safety announcement is a joke, right? There are lots of guns out there that don’t have these kinds of dangerous “downsides”.
The stock firing pins are made of cast steel. Most people just replace them with a $10 machined one that will outlast your grandkids, dry firing or not.
Stand your ground and Don’t back down..RESIST!
yhank you, Tom DeLay...for the 5 years since the AWB expiration.
"cop-killer"?
