Pretty soon, California will need legislation to set aside one day to celebrate, “accomplishments as well as the contributions that reading, writing, and arithmetic made to this state” — so that “all public schools and educational institutions are encouraged to observe...and...conduct a full day of suitable lessons in those three areas.”

This is pure evil.

And we’ve gotten so use to it that we can’t see how shocking it is.

Why single out just one homo for recognition when so many of them have done their part to pollute our culture and spread perversion and disease?

Follow the lead of Congress and what they did with the presidents; they set aside one day to honor all Presidents and called it Presidents Day.

So instead of “Harvey Milk Day” they could call this “Perverts Day”, “AIDS Vector Day”, or even better, “Sexual Deviates Day”.

“Homosexual Pioneer” evokes queers who invented things like “fisting” and “gerbiling”.

Not a homosexual “martyr”.

Well,we have a state that wants to have an “Islam Day”, (Hawaii),so why would this be a surprise?I wonder how long it will be before the left eventually pushes for both these days to be recognized nationally in place of some of their least-favorite holidays....like Christmas or the 4th of July......?

So instead of the phrase “Celebrate Diversity”, it’s now “Celebrate Perversity”.

If you read the comments at the end of the article, most people are outraged at this. What is the point of California shoving this down people’s throats? Parents are right to remove their children for the day and should consider removing them permanently. That’s the only way they’re going to get their schools back if they want them back. Hit them in the pocket book, destroy the schools and the careers of the teachers and administrators pushing this stuff, and start all over again (that is if there is enough goodwill to rebuild the schools).

Okay, let's see....

He was a pervert.

He supported Jim Jones.

Any other reasons why we should honor this guy?

A true homosexual pioneer! Who would have thought that today sick perverts would be compared to pioneers.

Voting to establish Harvey Milk "gay day" in public schools was Republican Abel Maldonado of Santa Maria and all six Democrats on the committee: Gloria Romero of East Los Angeles, Elaine Alquist of San Jose, Loni Hancock of Alameda County, Carol Liu of Pasadena, Alex Padilla of L.A.'s San Fernando Valley and Joe Simitian of Palo Alto.

Voting against SB 572 were two Republican state senators: Bob Huff of Glendora and Mark Wyland of Carlsbad. [Source: California Chronicle ]
