ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The country has seen an increase demand in ammunition in the last few months, and some say it's due to the fact that Obama is now in office, and many fear stricter gun control is on its way.
More gun control has always been feared by those who use guns for hunting, shooting and just wanting to have the right to protect themselves against intruders.
There was a rise in gun sales a few months back, and now we are seeing a rise in ammunition sales.
Stores can't even keep it on their shelves, and manufacturers have put businesses on waiting lists because they just cant keep up.
The Roseburg Gun Shop is not the only store in town having trouble keeping ammo in stock.

And Im assured that 5 100 round value packs of winchester 9mm ball will be available for me to buy this friday morning..$21.00 a box.

cheaper that dirt is advertising Silver Bear 9mm steel case ammo for sale at 20 bucks per box. Last year it was less than ten.

I can't remember the last time I saw the Wolf sealed "spam cans" of ammo for sale. Wouldn't the sheer demand dictate that they should be rushing ammo to market?
Of course, there are persistent rumors that the Obammunist administration is screwing with their permits, etc, but, I haven't seen any real evidence of this. So far, it's only hearsay.

I hear superficial evidence in the media about these supposed ammo shortages, but I’ve not seen or heard anything definitive. I can certainly understand short term shortages in highly popular handgun rounds, but not across the board and I’ve heard nothing that would affect production long term.
Any of you hunters had trouble getting long rifle ammo, varmint rounds, long .22 rounds, 00 buckshot or rifled shotgun slugs yet?? Besides handgun rounds, those are a few more handy calibers to have in the ammo locker as well...any shortages noted??
It never hurts to stick some extra ammo in that short-term survival kit that you’re supposed to have anyway, and if things ever do get really bad, any caliber bullet, rifle round or shotgun shell makes excellent hard currency...
If you and yours haven’t been ready by now -oh well. This is an old story.
