No, unfortunately at least under this administration it will be used too control the masses, not protect our freedom. Remember under Bush the unease he put in motion by lifting the oil ban? Other countries understood if we would drill here, drill now we remain an independent, strong country. 0bama on the other hand doesn't have or want that independent spirit running uncontrolled by the US Socialist Government.
Also, the fact is, if we go down, the entire rest of the world goes down. Harder.
Old perceptions die hard on this one. Unfortunately you may be mistaken. New superpowers are already fomenting alliances and means of stability. Unlike those Americans insulated in their own propaganda news cycle, foreign governments are taking the steps necessary to protect their countries and peoples. As noted in my original post those entities are listed as well as the actions they have already taken.
Go to Sovereign Society or some other offshore investment firm who has no income to get from your investments, and read what these economists and investors are saying...you may want to check out some options. Stay away from those who have a vested interest in your money, for they will give you a rosy picture.

Well, obama all of a sudden told a group of people we could not continue borrowing.
Biden promised a generated crisis within 6 months.
And June 11 obama has a court date.
These are foreigners speaking out this is going to happen. I don't trust them. They want new world order and our money to make their life easier. But I don't trust obama at all. Biden, Axelrod, obama have all spoken of global and new world order.
I beleive the economy crisis was created by obama's thugs. But they do refuse to look at history and see what throwing money at the crisis did to prolong the depression.
I guess it is possible obama and his thugs created the crisis to make sure their New World Order agenda goes through during his first term.

The mere fact that we rely on China to buy our debt is a disgrace. Twenty years ago, we were rich and China was poor. Now the tables have turned. Why? Because they produce things and we do not. And we did it to ourselves.
We have not used oil shale because dems love environmentalist more than people. Because dems want no drilling on THEIR land. The same reason dems are protecting delta smelt over farmers and food.
One other reason is burning the shale would make the oil very costly. More costly than buying it from OPEC. They need to find ways to make it easier and less costly. Until they are allowed to do that it will remain too costly.
