Revolution
American Thinker ^ | May 20, 2009 | Herbert E. Meyer

During the last 30 years we Americans have been so politically divided that some of us have called this left-right, liberal-conservative split a "culture war" or even a "second Civil War." These descriptions are no longer accurate. The precise, technical word for what is happening in the United States today is revolution.

Because of our country's history, we tend to think of revolutions as military conflicts, and of the revolutionaries as the good guys; the image of Minutemen fighting valiantly against the British forces at Lexington and Concord lies deep within our DNA. But sometimes -- quite often, actually -- revolutions aren't military conflicts, and the good guys are the ones trying to keep the revolution from happening. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany by its elected president; he would spend the next two years consolidating his power with the legislative connivance of his political allies in the Reichstag. In October 1917, Lenin and his Bolsheviks took control of Russia from Kerensky and his Social Democrats -- who had overthrown the Czar earlier that year -- entirely through parliamentary maneuvering in Russia's fledgling Duma.

What defines a revolution -- and this is the crucial point to grasp -- is that when it's over a country has changed not merely its leaders and its laws, but its operating system.

Only the literal Armageddon and Christ’s win there will clear the decks.

There’s much praying and overcoming and doing great exploits for Him left between now and then . . .

And, on occasion, it may mean fighting for other priorities some, too.

However, the oligarchy has scheduled the shredding of the US of A in order to make springing the overt global government on the world easier.

Those of us who live through this will also have to live with what we what will have done in order to restore the Republic. Sobering thought, that.

“I’m a “live and let live” type of guy.” Well, being the sovereign of a nation, along with 300,000,000 other sovereigns means you have to be involved in more than a casual way else those who want to take away your sovereignty because they do not agree with your values will usurp your sovereignty just as we are seeing now. Conservatives who do not vote are the reason the left is now in charge. You cannot live and let live with poisonous snakes. There are heads that must be crushed to reduce the poisonous potential.

I’m not worried. I grew up in a heavily socialist leaning country. The people in this country will be paying such ungodly amounts of taxes that the next election will not leave a single Dem standing. Let them push with their entitlement programs, there are huge numbers of people just like us who either are already fed up right now or will become fed up within the next couple of months. We just don’t know it because the media are not on our side. This Obummer administration and Democrap government are on a suicide mission.

As a side note, we need to have a humongous turnout next tea party (July 4??). I particularly would really like to see little planes overhead towing banners saying “Where is your birth certificate”. We really need to pursue that issue, much more than we are doing now.

If, say, Montana tried to secede, most of the infrastructure can be wiped out in less than a day by the Air Force.

And a bunch of other states would immediately secede.

‘Bread and Circuses’ is the cancer of democracy

Which is why our founders did not set up a democracy. They set up government of limited powers, to be run by elected representatives of the people and the states. They called it a Republic.

What next election? It would be "postponed" due to the economic/security "emergency". Or there might be a Soviet style election, with ballots cast, and votes counted, but with the two having virtually no relationship to one another.

They called it a Republic

At the end of the Constitutional Convention in 1787, Dr. Ben Franklin was asked if we had a Republic, or a monarchy, he said "A Republic...if you can keep it".

Now it's not really known if that exchange actually took place, but if it did, this may be the generation that the "if" gets resolved, in he negative. It can, of course, logically never be finally resolved in the affirmative).

I agree. There is no time to run for local office and change things from the bottom up. We have been overtaken in a communistic coup.

sorry Gato, but i honestly believe that ship sailed long ago...im betting that it would be jawdropping to see the actual numbers in 00, 04 06 or last year...

I think they kept coming up short simply beacause they were still afraid of getting caught...no longer matters cause they dont even get called onit most of the time, and prosecutions ???

sadly the coup happened so slowly that it was ignored and wouldve been easily defeated way back when...

for those willing, by all means, run for dog catcher, we'll need good folks after the reset...

. . . IN A LONG PLANNED oligarchy coup . . .

Communism is only one of their tools.

“After the reset” - no one who has ever served in the federal government should ever be allowed into a position of power over any citizen.

At the core of democracy is the rule of law, and we have already lost it.

Yup.

Too many did too little for way too long.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

This is a very well written post! I am on the same page with you, and I agree this is the direction that, barring a miracle, we are inevitably heading. However, is it yet the time for “fire and blood?”

It is premature at this point. Now is not the time. We will know when that time comes...

We all need to do what we think we can, and then push a little further - remember, ACORN is being paid to work against us.
______________

It’s worse than that. ACORN is being paid WITH OUR MONEY to work AGAINST us, while WE must work FULL-TIME (and often 2nd jobs) to make it ourselves and keep them up through their Government puppeteers! We are already at a multiple disadvantage.
