Caucus Stands Behind Leader in CIA Briefing Controversy
House Democrats have rushed to the defense of Speaker Nancy Pelosi in her public battle with the CIA, a reflection of the enormous loyalty the California Democrat enjoys in her caucus despite a month-long effort by Republicans to use the dispute to weaken her standing.
Yesterday several leading Democrats joined her in criticizing the CIA's procedures for briefing Congress on intelligence issues and, rather than distancing themselves from Pelosi, top Democrats said they believe that the CIA misled her in a September 2002 briefing about controversial techniques used during interrogations of alleged al-Qaeda operatives.
Some questioned the agency's new director, Leon Panetta, for defending officials for actions that occurred before his tenure, while others tried to poke holes in the accuracy of the CIA's recordkeeping.

Why am I not surprised?
It’s the party of Clinton, after all.
Ahnald was there sucking up for more money for Caleyfornia and they used him.
This is like when a an NFL Football Team owner gives the coach a vote of confidence. If and when there is solid proof that she was briefed on the ongoing Waterboarding, they will all be “terribly disappointed in the Speaker”, and that will be the beginning of the end of her being Speaker.
The new talking point is NOT ONE democrat thinks she did any wrong.
They defended Clinton for all these years. Why not Nancy?
“enormous loyalty the California Democrat enjoys “
This is certainly not true. I bet when the tipping point comes, she gets removed by big margins.
I hope the CIA leaks the Dems to death.

Like any article about muslims being angry over “X and such”, this article is boilerplate stuff. Dems have ALWAYS rushed to the defense of other Dems when they are shown to be wrong.
In this particular issue, Pelousy has been shown to be not only wrong, she has been proven to be a LIAR who is DEAD WRONG and is using the (so-called) “torture” issue to push the leftists’ agenda of bed-wetting pacification that only serves to get more Americans killed.
The Dems know they are in for a battle royal over Pelousy’s lies and she could be forced to step down as Speaker of the House. A lot of attention is being focused on Leon “I’m Less Qualified For MY Job Than Obama Is To Be POTUS” Panetta’s refutation of her lies but, inside sources acknowledge that Panetta didn’t make his statement without clearing it through Zero first.
Early on in this administration, there were stories of friction between Queen 9% and the Obamessiah and it could be that Zero is throwing her to the wolves as payback for opposing certain things he wanted to do.
They defend her because they can.
When you are the party in absolute control, no one can keep you accountable.

What frightens me about all of this is we have an RNC leader who fits in better with the left than he does the right.
This is mana from heaven for 2010 and the RNC is going to let this go to waste.
Although I would like to see Madame get her comeuppance, I actually like her better where she is. This incident has weakened her credibility, so anytime she goes out in public, the GOP line can be, “How can you trust what she says? She lied about what the CIA told her and then accused the CIA of lying.” That template will stick with her until she’s out of politics - like a Scarlet “A”.
I doubt seriously that they have rushed to her side. LOL
There, fixed it for you.
Not so long ago, the other party was in "absolute control" and they did nothing to defend against unwarranted attacks. Instead they joined the DemonRATS to vilify, smear and in some cases, remove the "offending" persons from their midst.
I wouldn't know. I'm not going to ruin my good mood or lose my breakfast listening to someone as repulsive as Schumer, even for one of the few times he got something right. I cannot stand the man. Had the politics of the moment been different, his response would have been also. I'm sure he regrets giving that opinion as much as he regrets it being recorded.
