Are all these dealerships being closed or confiscated as a result of bankruptcy agreements made by the auto companies and 0’s administration, or is this something 0 ordered independently of these agreements?

At last, a thought out question.......IIRC, these major companies, such as Chrysler and GM, went crying to the government to bailout (i.e. taxpayer) dollars after they mismanaged their assets. They are now being told what to do and how to do it. Essentially, we the taxpayer, own them whether we like it or not.

I see the dealership closings as collateral damage. It wasn't their fault, but they are being hung out to dry by their product producer.

Somebody really needs to do a study of this and see, among other things, whether there is a political pattern here.

Were the dealerships that were closed owned by Republican donors? We know from an article posted here yesterday that at least some of them were.

Were the dealerships in Republican territory? Were their employees white?

And how about the dealerships that were kept open? Were their owners Democrats? Were they in areas with a lot of black workers?

I just want to know if there is a pattern here. As I said, at least SOME of these dealerships were owned by Republican contributors. I suspect that there WILL be a pattern of some sort.

I too was taught we had a system of checks and balances. My government and history class lessons have been disproved by a foreigner who is all about fraud and deception. And to think that these career politicians who know better are choosing and supporting a new form of government over our once proud Republic. I don't get it but as an oath taker I have a responsibility if it comes to pass.
