Rudy Giuliani Stands Up To Crazed Attacker On Hamptons Stroll

Rudy and Judi Giuliani were accosted today in the Hamptons by an angry man who threatened to "punch out" the former mayor, witnesses told The Post.

Patrons sitting outside The Golden Pear bakery in downtown Bridgehampton around 2 p.m. said a "slim, well-dressed man in his fifties" came charging out of nowhere and began screaming at the happy couple as they left a nearby art fair.

"I'm gonna punch your lights out," the wacko repeatedly yelled at Giuliani, witnesses said. Rudy and Judi appeared startled and then agitated by the man's aggressive behavior.

At one point the man started jabbing the former mayor in the chest, said Mark Borghi, owner of an art gallery on Bridgehampton's Main Street.

"Alright, do it then!" Borghi heard the Brooklyn native Giuliani yell to his tormentor.

There are a lot of these morons around. I had a couple of “conservative” bumper stickers on my car during the Bush administration’s eight years - “Peace through Superior Firepower” and “Terrorist Hunting Permit” as well as the “W ‘04” - here in Chicago and I was always getting the one-finger salute and verbal abuse.

It’s not so bad now but that might be due to the removal of the “W ‘04” sticker; the others are still on. I still get a lot of dirty looks from mostly women.

Do you really think that he would have bowed to the Saudi's ? Do you think that he would let Israel twist in the wind. I will not even mention the difference on the fiscal side.

Thanks. I wasn’t aware of that. I just haven’t always cared for his antics. I’m willing to give him his due, but I wasn’t a huge fan of him. I have enjoyed seeing him from time to time though. He’s kind of a mixed bag for me.

And while he was, he transformed the city and life in it utterly, in a markedly conservative direction, and he did things that everyone, me included, thought were impossible.

Unlike most politicians, he said what he was going to do, and then he did it.

If America had heard 70 days of speeches like Rudy gave at the convention, Obama would not be President today, and the catastrophe which we now have to endure would have been prevented.

McCluskey was eventually cuffed and taken away by Southampton cops, but not before he inexplicably rushed inside a coffee shop to empty his pockets, said Golden Pear employee Martin Schwenk.

He was charged with harassment.
