Yea my other moderate/independent friends that voted for Obummer also won’t talk about it at all. They just change the subject. I’m trying to figure out what is going on. Noone will say anything.

I knew. Anyone who has followed Obama's career for four years knew.

It's thanks to these lazy asses we are stuck with Obama. This is why my tagline is what it is. I expect the left to support Obama. I don't expect the idiots on the "right" to back this radical.

Time for these "moderates" to pay up like the rest of us.

I couldn’t stand McCain, but I gladly voted for him (and Sarah). He may be a kook who I really wish would just shut up, but he’s not a socialist with contempt for this country.

It took many libsticks the better part of 30 years to finally swallow their pride and admit Jimmy Carter was the worst President in history.

It’s no longer God Bless America. It’s God Save America.

They know they were snookered and don’t want to admit it.

I am cutting her some slack by seeking an excuse for her vote. Honestly grief is all I can think it must have been. I do know how painful her husband’s death has been for her and the kids and I am sure worry about money and insurance, etc drove her thinking. Obama promised big things. Things a grieving widow with 2 children could easily have bought into.

I truly had no idea he would turn out to be the radical tax and spend liberal he’s revealed.

Oh please. That's like Liberace's wife waking up one day and saying, "I truly had no idea he would turn out to be gay."

You get what you pay (or vote) for, Mr. "moderate conservative."

"Moderate conservative"???

I'm pretty sure others have noticed the phenomenon, but I think it is worth pointing out.

The first assault Liberals make is on the language. If you lose the ability to effectively and definitively convey thoughts and information, you become hobbled by ambiguous terminology and victim to 'code' words you were unaware of.

One of the most common has been the notion that Republican=conservative. Nope, as candidate after candidate (and elected officials, talking heads, columnists, and bloggers) have proven, the two are far from synonymous.

So now the Liberal's 'war' of words appears to have the destruction of the meaning of Conservative as its goal.

First we had 'exceptional conservatives'--who "agreed with conservative policies, except ________" (fill in the blank with the issue of your choice).

Then we had hyphenated conservatives, paleo-, neo-, so-, crunchy-, etc., which is just an excuse to water down the mix of values with more than one exception and theoretically, let more under the 'big tent' who really were leaning to the left.

As for "moderates", from what I have seen, the current middle of the road is to the Left of where JFK (Kennedy, not JF'nK) stood. That, imho, isn't conservative, but liberal lite.

Once again, the MSM attempts to brand Conservatism as "extremism", and if the Republicans and others hadn't been so bloody quick to throw our real Constitutionalists and "extremists" under the bus, we might have retained some perspective.

Conservatives, in the meantime, remain pro-life, pro-liberty, and pro-property rights, staunch advocates of original intent and the much smaller government that would bring.

Anything less? Well, beware cheap imitations. As for those who would rather walk to the left of conservatism, well, I for one, don't mind you following, but please, don't try to lead. I won't follow.

As for anyone who deserves to be called a conservative--of any hyphenated category--the only ones I can conceive voting for Obama would have 'anti-' in front of 'conservative'.

YMMV

even my non-political hubby figured that one out...as did both of my not very political under 25 year old sons.

LOL Hope that Irish Pennant is NOT from ND. Don’t think we’d agree on that one. Or we could just post “ditto” when we post.

Are you so sure it wasn't motivated by white guilt? That issue was definitely played up during the campaign, and probably filtered though a lot of people's thinking.

More fraud!

Daddy's side of the family were not slaves in N.America, ever, (If anything, they sold them over in Africa), and Mommy's side was white. Obama had none of the "inner city, poor black, descended from slavery, held down by da man" in his history. None.

Every chance I get I slap Liberals with the facts, and let them eat their bloody "white guilt" all over again, the suckers!

My friend claimed she was pro-life, but she voted for Obama and disliked Palin. It makes no sense. It would be nice if people would actually vote in their self interest.
