Democrats wait for tragedy to enact weapon legislation

America’s 1st Freedom June 2009 Magazine has called the Democrats onto the carpet.

And it isn’t pretty.

Marshall Lewin in an article titled:”Showing their True Colors”, lays it all on the line. In his article he describes a ruthless calculation, Democrat leaders in the White House and in Congress are waiting for people to die. That’s right. They are waiting until there is some national level tragedy, the loss of life involving firearms, to introduce and then pass legislation banning guns.

“And Americans now believe they cannot fall—A M.O.N.U.M.E.N.T.A.L MISCALCULATION!”

I agree, but not all of us. There are alot of people that were against Obama too and even more changing their mind about him.

No, Americans didn’t want war.

The war was in Europe and they wanted no part of it.

My point is proved by their reaction to Pearl Harbor.

How did we react to 9-11?

We hit two small countries (while we let the left spank us for it here at home) and, with an iron fist, clamped down on the American citizen with the so-called “Patriot Act”.

I answered the question: “what would you have us do” earlier.

Remember the reaction to the illegal immigration issue recently. People practically stormed the offices of the ‘representatives’ in resistance—and they won, at least for that moment.

There is no such resistance now.

There is silence.

The “Tea Party” family picnics were of no real use.

Americans were told they were extremists and had too many white people at their picnics to be considered legitimate.

And even then, Americans let them push this overtly racist misinformation and marginalize the events.

There is NO resistance, FRiend. It simply does not exist.

We have talk show hosts, Fox News, this forum, some family outings in the park (tea parties) and that’s about it.

“There are alot of people that were against Obama too and even more changing their mind about him.”

I know, but we need many, many more like-minded, proactive people in this fight.

Far too many Americans are under the impression that another election cycle is going to fix this—not a chance in hell.

This is a major bug in the system that has to be rooted out or we will pass-on to our children the pain and suffering that is the only fruit of collectivism.

Now, these Sheriff’s deputies have families and are determined to go home tonight. They don’t agree with the new law but they aren’t willing to dodge your bullets for it.

No, they won't be willing to dodge bullets for it - They won't even try to enforce it, because they know damn well they will not be going home to their wives and kids if they were to press it.

I would thoroughly expect our governor and our sheriffs throughout the state to instruct state and county officials to ignore such a law as unconstitutional. Not only on the principle of the thing, but on the hope of keeping the peace with the citizenry.

I swear, y'all must be in a city somewhere.

Not only would they have difficulty taking LA or Chicago (thy'd have to starve them out, which is possible), they could not begin to take the Blue Ridge Mtns, not to mention Texas or the whole South... And the swamps, the deserts, the Rockies and AK will NEVER fall.

You must be outta your mind.

Thanks, I’ve been called much worse on this thread—how refreshing is your mild insult.

My mention of the militia factions of the early 90’s shows that

Do you think they are gone? Do you think they were "crushed"?

The key there is “many”. I have a few buds that are cops and I hear tell the younger crop of cops is a quite a bit more big-government friendly. I also hear tell that the number of cops that would provide outright resistance to a gun-ban is dwindling. Affirmative action and blue cities having much to do with the weighting of the numbers, to be certain.

Cops in "blue cities" versus rural sheriffs or rural city cops are two entirely different things.

Do you live in a major city somewhere? is that what shades your opinion?

I don't mean it as an insult (sorry for that), more a matter of incredulity.

I live in a state where the average home has 7 guns... If y'all think Montanans are gonna just roll over and play nice, you've got another think comin'. To suggest it simply boggles the mind.

I assure you, I am *not* a right-wing fringer (on this issue anyway). The VAST majority of Montanans would vote to secede rather than give up one single pistol. Guns are such a part of the fabric of life here that it is absolutely unthinkable.

Now, It may be different where you are, But everywhere I go, up and down these Rockies, guns are hanging in the gunracks in pickup trucks... If you are a guest in a friend's home, he invariably will show off his gun collection, which is always of some size. A good portion of folks load their own rounds, and have enough rounds laid up to start a small war by themselves.

And I don't think you have the foggiest idea of just how big these Rockies are - I can get in my truck and drive twenty miles to the end of the pavement, seventy miles to the end of the gravel, and then walk another 15 days to get to the Continental divide - All of it on edge and timbered. And if I go over the hump, there is just as much on the other side. And I live pretty close up on the western side of the divide- There's way more where that comes from heading westward, or north, or south. It is a hard, hard land that I know well. Nobody is going to find me if I light a shuck for the tall timber.

Do you have any idea how big the Missouri Breaks are, and how many people could disappear in there? Or the Badlands? Any one of the ol' boys I know could walk up in there with a bow and a knife and provide for himself and his own, not to mention having stores and guns along.

And while they are less likely to have big iron in the plains and deserts, and tend more toward varmint guns and shotguns, it is very much the same there, and throughout the South.

Even in the middle of blue Chicago, where I was born, there are uncountable weapons in the hands of otherwise law abiding citizens, that the government has no idea are even there.

I HIGHLY doubt that this nation will hand in it's guns. Even as I highly doubt that any political remedy will be found.

When I saw reports of Bosnia, I decided that I would die fighting rather than have thugs drag my husband and sons dragged out of the house, into the street and murdered.

Regarding Rwanda, If any group of barbarians comes at me and my family with machetes, I swear before God Himself that I will send as many of these vermin straight to hell that I can.

I suspect that at 'that point' you'll be looking out form 'yours' also. 'Mine' includes a wife and 7 children. Some animals, family and neighbors. Some how we have to stick together or we'll hang separately.

Sorry, but I am not interested in disappearing into the Badlands or providing for my family with a knife.

I want to be Free.

You seriously need to read my third book, out just a few weeks. Your reply reads like it was lifted from it.

I’ll say to you what I’ve said to the sheepish multitudes who are content with ‘waiting’ for the ‘system’ to work:

...and what is it that Boucheau has done to fight this non-violent war?

“Some how we have to stick together or we’ll hang separately.”

People who think they will just run to the hills, country be damned, are of no use to me. This is a country and either someone fights for their country, using peaceful means today and all the way through firing shots tomorrow if need be, or they might as well not exist.

Somehow, I think anyone running to the hills will find themselves isolated and without their needs being met and dying alone. Anyone who even remotely thinks about survival realizes they cannot without the help of others.

The “position” he is defeneding begins with the premis that out citizen soldiers...our sons, our daughters, our nephews and nieces, our neighbors children, or cousins, our uncles, our aunts.....will all decide to say screw my oath and start kicking in doors for their supposed new master Obambi...

I cant believe that position even belongs of FR...much less needs to be defended....

as I said...it’s simply the same crap I’ve had to counter from the moonbats for the last 8 years....just the other side of the coin...I was pretty surprised to see such conspiracy theories pop right up again as soon as we lost an election...

As I said....the desire for liberals to disarm you, and having the will or the means to actually do it....are entirely different matters....

but I know the vast majority in this country does not have the will to follow.

Then you're in the wrong neck of the woods. My county sheriff, whom I was just chatting with last week, would deputize hundreds and tell the fedgov to leave or perish.
