It is now over 5 month since the best President of this century has left office . Do I miss the years he was our President and Commander in Chief.? You betcha. Today, I will post photos from June 2001 and June 2002. snugs will post photos from June 2003. (She might do it tomorrow though instead..
It was a joy to send them to you!
I had wondered who did the Texas ornament, and JUST found
out that it was my boss! LOL! (better late than never!)
well I just joined the largest group (there are over 15 thank you pres bush etc).. I joined the one with 87,000 (intimate) members.. if it is the wrong one will join the other. I didn’t click on your link..
Now this is what The President of the United States is to look like!
Wow, I didn’t realize how out of control Laura’s hair was back then.
Kaslin, Thank you So Much for this Wonderful Dose!
Now, any time they announce “The President of the United States”, I expect to see President Bush come out not the interloper. Still can't believe what we have for president.
Prime Minister Tony Blair, Secretary Powell and President Bush all looked young in that picture.
I just love that picture of Dubya and Poppy at the 9/11 Memorial service. Such a look of pride on Poppy’s face, as he grabs his son’s hand, as if to say “Good job”, and indulgence and love on Bar’s for that action, and it’s meaning to their son.
What an absolute cutie he is!!
Thanks. I enjoyed every minute I was able to spend with him
I can't wait until his book is puplished
You are very welcome.
That's been my reaction too.
Kas and Snugs, thank you for another Dose of sanity.
Thanks much,K!
Very cool factoids! :) Thanks for the ping Luvee!
Thanks for reminding me of some great memories and for some wonderful photos.
Certainly this is true. However, I do not believe that this or any similar verses give Christians blanket approval to stand by and just let things happen. Were this the case, then the whole of medical science would be un-Biblical, and any efforts to prolong life would be against "God's will".
"But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." 1Ti 5:8
Instead, I have looked to this verse for direction and guidance many times. This tells me that inaction when truly needed is a sin. The question then for Christians, IMHO, is a matter of degrees. How much should we be involved? What can we do vs. what is going too far?
Did Jesus go too far in scourging the money changers in the Temple? Or was He justified in cleansing His Father's house?
This nation was given to us by God, and our Constitution divinely inspired. How far should we go in cleaning out our Father's temple (i.e. the government) and upholding His laws (the Constitution)? Should we be inactive and allow continued corruption to desecrate what God has given us? Shall we sit idly by while God-given freedoms are actively stripped from individuals and states?
I think that sitting idly by is in reality giving tacit approval to those who would destroy what the Lord has given us. To me, this means pointing out corruption and ineptness and making these issues the focus of the nation's attention.
"Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Mat 7:20
I do not want to face God when I'm called up yonder and have to explain why I did nothing about the moneychangers in His temple.
Yes, we’ve had this conversation before. We will always occupy/stand in truth and righteousness until He comes. I’m just trying to get people to realize that the time is short. Nothing is more important than proclaiming the gospel to those who are perishing, because our real HOPE is not in parties, man, armies, capitalism, etc.
Yep, you joined the correct group — I just read your ‘wall’ message!!
FYI: I only joined facebook to add my name to the over 89,000 GWB supporters at the ‘Thank You President Bush’ page. . . I simply don’t have the time or inclination to create/maintain my own page . . . maybe some day!
