Neb. doctor wants to carry on Tiller's mission

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Physician LeRoy Carhart wants to continue providing third-term abortions after the brazen slaying of his friend and colleague George Tiller, but the Nebraska doctor doesn't have anywhere to perform them—and he's one of only a handful of providers who will.

Tiller's Wichita, Kan., clinic was shuttered Sunday after the 67-year-old physician was gunned down at his church. His family said Tuesday that they were unsure when it would reopen, posing a problem for Carhart, who wants to carry on his friend's mission.

Carhart, 67, is one of a handful of remaining doctors in the United States who perform third-trimester abortions, and it is uncertain if a new generation of providers will take over the cause.

Perhaps we can get Carhart and Hern into a bidding war
for purchase of Tiller’s death camp?

Neb. doctor wants to carry on Tiller's mission

Tiller's "mission"? Tiller made a pile of money off of late term abortions. That's the only "mission" this guy is interested in.

“Dr. Tiller and I and all our friends know that tomorrow is never a given,” Carhart told The Associated Press. “I think what we have to do is not let this loss of his life affect our goals in life, No. 1, and we need to do things so he’s never forgotten.”

He’s in Bellevue, NE actually. I should know because a group of Christians has prayer vigils every Saturday morning near the place.

“There are very, very few abortions that happen at that time,” said Nancy Northrup, president of the Center for Reproductive Rights, who said she worries about a “severe shortage” of physicians who can perform the procedure. “People who need those services need caring and compassionate and qualified doctors like Dr. Tiller who are able to provide those services.”

These people are a bunch of sickos. Women never “need” those services.

What kind of person needs a ‘compassionate’ monster to carve up her child?

I’ve never understood this. Why kill a child half way out of the womb instead of putting him/her up for adoption? Do these women have a life mission of becoming the most cruel, uncaring, and ghoulish fiends that they can be? Is this what they mean by “empowerment”?

Dont’ worry, with Obama’s new nationalized plan, he can direct federal money at this “critical specialty shortage” and require all OB/Gyn training programs to teach late term abortions, despite any ethical problems the physicians may have with it.

"tomorrow is never a given,” Carhart told The Associated Press....

Least of all for the 60,000 tiny souls for whom Carhart's "colleague" personally made sure there would be no tomorrows at all.

Carhart complains that new young doctors just don't seem to want to jump into the challenging and rewarding practice of third term baby butchery. He blames their hesitation on fear of anti-abortionists.

It doesn't seem to occur to him that the vast majority of doctors consider an abortion practice to be the last option for medical school graduates who don't have the skills, brains, or aptitude to do anything else. Abortionists are the bottom feeders of the bottom feeders of the medical profession.

I hope Carhart leaves Nebraska for good. My state deserves better than to be known as the home of a monster.
