Post evidence of libs turning on Obama
6/6/09 | me

I would like this thread to be a compilation of stories from those of you who have friends or acquantances who voted for Obama, and are now souring and letting it be known.

I've been reading comments from time to time in varying threads from posters saying that they have family/friends, etc., that are turning on obummer.

Let's warm our cockles by assembling the anecdotal evidence here!

People at D.U. that are angry say he is just like Bush and not nearly Left enough for them.

Mostly they are pissed about Gitmo and no prisoner abuse photos.

There is also a contingent that wants Pelosi gone because she won't charge Bush/Cheney with war crimes.

I kid you not.

The thing about all these hand outs:

People like all the happy talk about “extra” benefits, when they still have jobs or businesses are still making money -—

Now, even with all of the hand outs Obama has promised -— most will make less money this year than last.

When you are doing poorly, even with a hand out -— the hand out tends to make you resentful and angry, not grateful.

The only good thing is that we’ve finally gotten McCain behind us. The media has been trying for years to foist him onto us, and with open primaries and ACORN, they were finally able.

It’s the same reason the media was playing up McCain’s airhead leftist daughter as the GOP spokesperson. Thankfully she seems to have passed her usefulness to the left.

I trend between 2 thoughts on the 08 election. 1. Better a real lefty fool than a faux Conservative fool, IOWs let the fool dogs catch the garbage truck and 2. McCain would have Sarah Palin for VP.

Stewart nails NBC in this video. Maybe, just maybe, the backlash has begun...

Some of the hopey-changey voters I have talked to are moderate Republicans. Sadly, they had no clue what changes they were voting for when they voted for 0. They were dissatisfied with Bush and saw McCain as more of the same.

Liberals will never turn on Obama. First, he did more for advancing and implementing the destructive left wing socialist agenda than any other politicians in history of our Republic. No other President even though of crossing the boundaries that Obama crossed such as the nationalization of private firms. Second, liberals are obsessed with power. Unlike some conservatives, they do not turn on their own once they have some disagreements. For them, power comes first and foremost and they want to keep at any price.

Obnoxious super lib Ted Rall wants him out but it’s because he hasn’t freed the innocents at Gitmo.

Still see quite a few in Mass.

In Nov. MA voters had the chance to eliminate the state income tax and make the Commiewealth live within its own means. It lost 70-30 and on election night I said, “This
is Massachusetts. We’re stupid.”

Now they want to greatly increase taxes, fees, fines, and tolls. Hey, the voters want it right? Sure, tax us even more.

And the 0 stickers are still on many cars. Even still some
Kerry-Edwards stickers once in awhile.

Again:

This is Massachusetts.

We’re stupid. (OK, SOME of us aren’t but many are.)

This is called wishful thinking. Making hasty judgments about anecdotal stories will set you up for a hard fall in the next election. If you want to dismiss Obama, you have to field a candidate with supporters who can take on the press. Reagan was the last such president. Twice he beat the left-wing (really die-hard socialists) press while for 10 years they called him an idiot.

During Bushes two terms, he did not beat the press with wit. His communication skills sucked. His philosophical inclinations grew more muddy. Only the memory of grubby, greedy, incompetent Clinton Democrats scared the electorate into voting for him. By the end of his two terms, the electorate had had enough of this bumbler and the Republicans.

No the humor was at the expense of Brian Williams and his coverage of Obama. Hits made at Rahm Emanuel, Timmy Geitner, Axelrod. But no mocking or poking directly at Obama, any of his missteps, blatently inaccurate statements or his idiocyncracies. I don’t see any change in Jon Stewart. Obama is off limits still.

TEd Rall is the outlier of Obama supporters.

The tell tale sign will be when democrat congressmen start to question Obama and that will because their constituents are hammering them about how incompetent they think Obama is and how problematic his policies are.

did you hear the Chaplain's invocation in which he prayed to the one and only God, and prayed through Jesus. Military chaplains can no longer pray in that manner in public settings, so I am told. Even some of our denominational leaders will no longer pray in such a manner - it offends Muslims and therefore is politically incorrect.

I’ve just been enjoying bringing up the fact that evrything just keeps getting worse and that the powers that be seem to keep doing more and more to make it that way then just shutting up and letting them rant and rave. Most are not quite to the “blame Obama” point yet but soon I will throw in a that d@med Obama” and we’ll see if they pick it up. :)
