Anti-War Mom Brings Bush Housewarming March Preston Hollow residents won't be rolling out the welcome mat for Cindy Sheehan

By LITA BECK, ELLEN GOLDBERG and KEVIN COKELY

Updated 1:35 PM EDT, Sat, Jun 6, 2009 Related Topics: Cindy Sheehan | George W. Bush

Cindy Sheehan, who drew national attention for camping outside former President George W. Bush's ranch in protest of the Iraq War, is following him to Dallas.

Sheehan will lead a demonstration Monday protesting "crimes against humanity."

"We can't allow George Bush's crimes to be forgotten just because he is not in office anymore," she said in an e-mail.

But while most people in Preston Hollow have gone out of their way to welcome the former president and first lady home, they're not exactly rolling out the welcome mat for Sheehan.

"Go away," resident Kathie Taub said. "Go back! Leave us alone!"

Taub said Sheehan had already protested and should "now leave everybody alone."

"She has already made her opinion known, and it is getting old," Michael Taub said. "She needs to go back to wherever she came from."

NBC clearly taking sides with the old “Mom” meme.

Not that I’m surprised, just pointing it out

Cindy seems to not care so much about her loss, and more interested in extending her 15 minutes of fame.

Pity.

They say the line between love and hate is paper thin...I’ve always suspected that the ultra-lefty looney libs like Cindy Sheehasbeen are in love with W. They can’t seem to let him go, even now that they have elected their hero, Zero, and are culminating their evil plot of liberal fascism.

Cindy Sheehasbeen = Glenn Close

George W. Bush = Michael Douglas

She went from irritating, to a nuisance, and now she’s just pathetic.

Take your march to Obama, Cindy. Or are you afraid?

She criticized Obama, and vanished off the media radar for months and months. So she goes back to Bush and gets the media coverage she craves.

Here’s the thing...Cindy can’t accomplish much of anything without fan donations. It’s curious....at this point six months into the Obama administration....someone jumps up and puts at least $100k (my guess) into the Cindy project.

The other curious thing...with the war continuing...wouldn’t Obama be guilty of the same war-crimes if he doesn’t immediately stop the war? In my book...if Bush was guilty of anything, and Obama didn’t stop the war upon assuming the post of President, then he’s got issues too.

I’d suggest that someone ask Cindy who is paying the bills...and it leads back to some folks you’d be surprised about.

Stalker.

That's what GW needs to do--put out a restraining order against her now that he's a private citizen. The neighbors can pitch in, too--calling the cops on any disturbances, report people smoking weed and public intoxication, violating noise levels, etc. I live in a cul-de-sac with a bunch of college kids and have used these tactics to keep the kids on their Brady Bunch manners. But Bush and his neighbors will do nothing, of course.

By lurking on www.democraticunderground.com, I saw this coming. Many people who frequent that site are elated that Cindy would follow Bush to his new home in Dallas. I just don’t get it.

You can’t loiter on residential streets without getting hassled by someone. I think I would get out the water hose and water what ever area those idiots decide to park their butts on.

But Bush and his neighbors will do nothing, of course.

Dallas, TX, is one of those areas where you can't have a lawn (from a grass survival standpoint) without having an in-ground sprinkler system.

When we lived there years ago there was this woman who would walk her dog past our property right about 7am, and the dog ALWAYS cr*pped on our lawn without her scooping it up. Readjusting the sprinkler timing so that the front yard ones cooked off precisely at 6:55 and ran to 7:15 solved our problem and turned her into the problem of the people who lived across the street from us.

Same principle applies with this variety of dog cr*p as well ...
