Secretary of State: False Information Circulating About District 7 Senate Election
MONTGOMERY, AL - Word came in late Tuesday afternoon from Secretary of State Beth Chapman that false information is being circulated regarding today's District 7 State Senate race between Democrat Laura Hall and Republican Paul Sanford.
Chapman says someone is circulating emails and fliers that state due to "heavy expected turnout" there will be two elections this week, one on Tuesday for Republican voters and another one Wednesday for Democratic voters.
This is not the case. If you live in District 7, you must have cast your ballot today. Polls closed at 7pm.
"This information is totally false," said Chapman, who is Alabama's chief elections official. "The election is being conducted today and today only. There is no election being conducted on Wednesday."
If you have questions or concerns, contact the Secretary of State's Office at 1-800-274-8683 or visit the Secretary of State's web site.
We've posted the FALSE letter if you'd like to see it for yourself. Again - it's FALSE. The letter even quotes an 'Alabama Secretary of Electoral Elections' - the state doesn't have any such position.
In the spirit of full disclosure, WHNT NEWS 19 obtained the false letter from Laura Hall's campaign staff.
This is nothing more than a stupid attempt by some DUmmies to cry foul.
ROFL...
Good timing LOL
Too funny
lmao
No doubt. Where are examples of these emails and flyers?
Wow, the old classic ploy. Y’know, if rodent scum are that damn pig ignorant stupid to buy it, I say we go with it every time.
Putting aside this foolishness from the Democrats, this is a great victory for the good guys. Paul Sanford is a true Christian gentleman, a constitutionalist, and a rock solid patriot.
Congratulations to Paul and his team! Congratulations to District 7 Alabamans for having made a very wise choice!
typical ACORN ploy
