Really quick and dirty, assume he's single and no deductions, etc. Assume, too, that he's a NYC resident all year.

$400,000,000 for seven years ~ $57,000,000 per year.

Fed Income tax ~ $19,800,000
NY State Tax ~ $3,900,000
NY City Tax ~ $2,000,000
This does not include medicare, sales, real estate, etc taxes. Or the luxury tax on his yachts!

Tax burden for Fed, Stat, and City INCOME taxes is about 45% of gross.

Of that ~10% ($5,900,000) would go to NY and NYC. So living in the low-end Palm Beach area saves him about $5,900,000 PER YEAR. That's a lot of house in Palm Beach!

God help him if he writes another book or gets paid for speaking.

He moved to Florida to avoid NY State income taxes (and presumably for the better weather and less blue political climate). He has talked about how the NY Department of Revenue continually harasses him for income tax and he constantly has to prove that he is a resident of Florida.
