“It’s a good thing he’s been arrested, before he moved on to mutilating people.”

Yeah, but cat mutilation won’t put him away forever.

Tyler had two MySpaces (a personal one, and one for music), a facebook page and was a member of the group “Catch the Cat Killer”

Tylers parents were divorced, and he lived with both - one in Cutler Bay and the other in Palmetto Bay, which explains the geographic reach of the crimes. Both houses had been under surveillance for weeks. Police were put on the trail thanks to community tips. At least four of the killings happened on the street where his mother lived.

Weinman was arrested on May 29th for possession of cannabis. He had two previous arrests as a minor, but police can’t release the details.

"In fact I was one of those that pointed this out, yes."

Oh, sorry. They say short-term memory is the first to go.

IMHO anyone serial killing helpless pets deserves sentencing to the fullest extent of the law, monetary reimbursement to all pet owners who lost their beloved animals by his murderous hands plus pain and suffering damages, lifelong psychiatric treatment and location monitoring until the day he dies.

I'm not an animal rights activist by any means, but I love my pets and believe those who lost theirs to this killer will never be fully compensated for their loss just because they were animals, and not humans (by prior verdicts).

I’d cut his hands off. That would give him a constant reminder for the rest of his miserable life...

And, probably would save at least one ore more people's lives.

Most psychopaths showed a cruelty to animals in their youth.

And most of them probably drank milk in their youth, too. Rather than start with psychopathic killers and work backwards, are there any studies that start with animal abusers and work forwards?

I'm not trying to excuse anything this little snot might have done, but I hear the "serial killers come from animal abusers" thing as often as I hear "child rapists are often killed and sexually abused by their fellow prisoners." Empirical evidence is the only proper way of determining if either one is true, and I should be reading about dead child molesters every day in the news if the latter truism were indeed credible.

“Look at the young gentleman’s picture in the article, another Ted Bundy in the making.”

Yup. Thats what I was thinking too when I saw the photo.

Some of you guys are way overboard on this. Prison rape with racist overtones? Cutting off of hands? Ridiculous.

Sure, psych analysis and whatever the law requires for having pot and killing cats, plus a long probation. But come on with all the Torquemada stuff.

“I’d like to see where he’s smirking from after he meets Weird Harold, Big Bubba, and Dirty Leon. Tender white boys like him tend to get a lot of entertainment in the slammer.”

Yup. He`ll end up being someones “wife.”

TorkyMutha?? Who’dat be?

Maybe if the penalties in this country fit the crime we’d have less crime?

Neighbor across the street had his house broken into on Friday while the family was at work...took plasma TV, computer, kid’s toys and games, jewelry etc. This guy is NOT rich, works hard and some PUNKS rip him off??

If they catch the filth that did this, I’d cut off their hand too!! Keep your hands OFF other people and their property!

Common decency has been gone for a long time in this Country...

Please don't refer to that little punk as a 'young gentleman'...there is nothing gentle about someone who would do those things.

I’m with ya GR but you are always gonna have bleeding heart limp dick liberals who snivel that these monsters should have their little minds looked over by some shrink, slap ‘em on the wrist, house arrest type crap etc. cuttin’ of hands might be a start, (if this kid is guilty of these cat mutilations) but I think the old tree/chains/blowtorch to finish him off should apply here.

Execute him now or he'll be a Jeffery Dahmer2 in a few years.

Serial Killers always start with small animals.

In regard to child molesters being killed in prison.

Considering the recidivist rate of these monsters I'd say it just doesn't happen. I don't think I have ever heard of a child molester who had not been a repeat offender and not been in prison many times.
