Consider the cost of $30,000 per year to keep this boy in jail. For 40 years that is over 1 million dollars. As despicable as he is, that is just ridiculous.

Consider the cost of keeping this boy in the real world. Over 40 years that could include hundreds more pets, and dozens of our wives, sisters, and children. As expensive as prison is, that is the best deal available.

I don’t think the punk should be killed for his crimes, but I do think he should be punished severely for them.

And while it’s true not EVERY animal abuser graduates to people, a good percentage of them do, and it’s a safe bet Bundy Jr here is on that path.

It's just that a pet peeve of mine is the many, many times one hears a reporter/commentator refer to suspects/convicts of some of the most heinous crimes as 'gentleman'?!? ... it is unconscionable to me!

Look, he's a sick puppy, perhaps an evil one, at that, but there's no evidence he ever even insulted a human being. He needs some extreme psychological help, no doubt, but I've still not seen any scientific evidence that cat abuser = serial killer.

Just dig deep toward the root causes and motivations for the crime rate.

Just going on blindly stiffening the penalties won’t do much, because it’s just like cutting grass. You cut it, it grows, over and over again.

Digging deep toward the root causes is the only solution.

For instance, the root causes of crime include poverty i.e. economic and financial hardships, social boredom, and often irresponsible parents.

Violent movies or even violent parents may be the root causes. For instance, if you were a kid, and your dad forced you to watch him torture and mutilate your beloved pet dog, cat, bird, mouse, rabbit etc. get to death in front of your eyes, what would you have done after that?
