McCain Calls Iranian Election "Rigged"
Washington Times ^ | June 16, 2009

Posted on 06/16/2009 9:33:34 AM PDT by meandog

Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, tackled some tough yet timely topics on The Washington Times' American Morning News Tuesday. Turmoil among voters in Iran, who have taken to the streets at their peril and in protest of alleged election rigging, had the senator issuing strong condemnations and a recommendation for the Obama administration. Mr. McCain said he believes Iran's presidential election was rigged and that the U.S. should do "whatever is necessary" to halt their nuclear weapons.

"Look these people are bad people and I know that it was unpopular to call them part of an axis of evil or whatever it was, but we just showed again that an oppressive regime will not allow democratic elections, free and democratic elections," Mr. McCain insisted.

So was ours, but you don't see conservatives violently protesting in the streets.

Nos McCain has concern over fair elections.

Once again John finds his voice to speak up on topics that won't rankle the leftist media, while staying safe in the bunker on anything that might.

McCain should have been as concerned about the rigging of the American election in 2008.

Did McCain stand up against the nationwide voter fraud of Obama's ACORN brown-shirts?

Has McCain said anything about Obama's AG Holder withdrawing the charges against the Black Panther thugs who intimidated voters with a club and racist insults?

Has McCain commented on Obama's DOJ stopping Georgia from weeding out illegal aliens and the dead from their voters role?

Idiot. Showing us the same kind of “strategy” that lost him the election: his knee-jerk stupidity, like when he “suspended his campaign” to get to D.C.—to vote FOR the TARP! BRILLIANT!!!

Tony, Tony, don't you understand nothing?

John McCain's role in life was to make Bob (Bobby Viagra) Dole's Presidential Campaign look dynamic, hard-hitting, and super-effective.

This, John McCain accomplished. In spades.

As a former comrade in arms, I would like to be the first to invite John to a GI Party to celebrate his permanent retirement.

Er, wasn't he showing loyalty to his president and party leader then (which he is pilloried constantly around here for not doing)...believe his president and party leader then was George W. Bush?
