Live Thread - Atlas V/Centaur Launch of Moon Probes

NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite are ready for launch aboard an Atlas V rocket from at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station today.

The spacecraft are scheduled to lift off together with three attempts possible at 5:12 p.m., 5:22 p.m. and 5:32 p.m. EDT.

If launch slips to Friday, June 19, the launch opportunities would be 6:41 p.m., 6:51 p.m. and 7:01 p.m.

I didn’t think it would launch- our weather is dreadful but Brevard seems clear for the moment...

That launch was too far advanced for 0bama to kill it, but we ain't going nowhere near the moon again while he is in.

Looks good so far. Fox News even showed it live. Though I cannot stand Shepard Smith. CNN did not carry it. Instead I had to see Bill Schneider on there for a few seconds touting his poll showing 46% of Americans blame Bush for the deficit. If that is at all accurate it is just one more confirmation abut the intelligence of the American people.
