Cool. Hellman’s was one of the advertisers I wrote. I really don’t care if Letterman gets fire from CBS or not. To be really fair and effective, CBS would have to go away or fire almost everyone to bring back some semblance of objectivity.

But, as with Hellman’s, I told them that while we regularly use and enjoy their products, we couldn’t continue and would switch to another brand so long as they continued to advertise on such a disgusting and politically insulting show.

I'm no fan of Letterman; and, I think his "jokes" were disgusting.

I think his first "apology" showed that he didn't really mean the second one.

That said, I do not believe in hounding advertisers or demanding firings.

Look at it this way.

We want to keep OUR broadcasters on the air even if they offend people (often with the bright light of truth.)

The same is true for the hate-mongering progressives.

If they can field an audience, I don't want them TAKEN off the air.

Maybe the Tonight Show will do that one when it is up to 20...

I flew Southwest to Orlando this spring and was very pleased with their operations.

The only danger here is that now, Barack the Kenyan and his Obamacoms will be looking to do one of their infamous hostile takeovers of Hellman's/Best Foods.

Every time the Communist Broadcasting System flaunts their liberal agenda the appropriate response is to the sponsors. The private business managers responsible for spreading a company's advertising dollars love to accumulate this type of ammunition so they can leverage down the absurd prices media outlets charge. When the broadcasters watch their margins evaporate even further, they will finally figure out they have to listen to consumers rather than dictate to them.

Olive Garden has already given up its boycott in the wake of leftwing pressure

By halloween I figure there will be the Mainstream Media mask which is a big bare black ass that you can stick your face in the crack.

Your response is far too intelligent for those who demand Letterman’s head.

Full disclosure: I am an enthusiastic regular at Olive Garden restaurants, and also a supplier to the Darden Company, which operates Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Smokey Joe’s and other restaurant chains.

I emailed my thoughts to them in a non-confrontational approach, and received a well written response.

I believe in free speech and the freedom to watch and listen to what you wish.

Re Hellmann’s: Years ago, store brand mayos generally didn’t cut the mustard, please excuse the pun. Hellmann’s was the only decent thing out there, next to homemade. Even Kraft wasn’t all that good. This has changed. Even the grocery discounter Aldi carries a knock-out knockoff of Hellmann’s. It “mayo” be the time to switch....

They oasted Imus for making a joke about black young women, but it’s considered fine to do so about whites.

We should encourage the rest of his sponsors to withdraw.

I wouldn’t get near any product that associted itself with this hate-mongering pervert.

And his so-called “apology” was a fake, phony fraud.

How come Imus got fired for his remark but Letterman seems to have the networks’ full support?
