I commend the author for making the distinction between run of the mill atheists and activist atheists. I was a nonbeliever for most of my adult life, and never once fit the atheist stereotype.

Like all Christian denominations, some members are saved and some are not. Of course, the more liberal the denomination, the greater the proportion of unsaved vs. saved.
I suspect you belong to a very liberal denomination that you find too conservative for your radical materialist sympathies, and that your Church attendance is infrequent at best because your pastor or priest does not spend enough time debunking the Bible to satisfy your rabid commitment to the Temple of Darwin cult.

I already answered your question. Simply belonging to this or that denomination does not make you a Christian. You must be Born Again. Are there genuine Christians in the Catholic and Episcopalian denominations? Yes.
Although once someone becomes a genuine Christian in the Episcopal church, they generally leave the denomination in search of a Church that affirms the innerancy of scripture, and as such does not ordain women, or push the homosexual agenda, or any number of other leftist/unbiblical causes.

How anyone can make vulgar and off-color insults and in the breath propound what Christians they are is beyond my understanding. The more so since they claim to know the Bible and yet fail to appreciate Jesus'’ words about what comes out of a person's mouth “defiles” them.
