TEA Parties are Feel Good Exercises, but won't work.

Dear XXXX,

I thank you for your efforts. However, being the first or maybe second (SeekingTheTruth in Florida possibly the first) FR street activist back in 1998, and having done more with other organizations after, I have learned some things over time:

1. FR activists helped to impeach Clinton; the Fedgov leviathan didn’t try him. That said a lot;
2. Being the Chairman, and then Secretary/Treasure of a however small Veterans’ organization (VetsCoR) had little impact, as we reached out to the American Legion, VFW, VietNam war orgs, et al; They simply didn’t want to hear our calls and continue with their Fraternal club stuff.
3. After developing a slide-show called, “With Love and Appreciation” had little affect, other than to make our troops feel good it had NO impact on the average Joe-six-pack;
4. Spending countless hours on the streets and waving flags before anyone even consider it, there was no change in DC.
5. Just recently the Tea Parties were out on the streets in the 10’s of thousands. Did you see a change in the Obama, Reid, Pelosi triad? No, you didn’t. They ignored the Tea Parties and have continued with their head-long rush into socialism.

Bottom line: Demonstrations are a waste of time and effort and resources. So what is left?

ORGANIZED CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE! Think liberal tactics and how they have been so successful throughout the decades. If you’re not willing to do the same sit-ins and chain yourself to the Capitol steps, and face arrest for a misdemeanor (minor fine), than you are failing your Constitution and Nation.

It’s time to rise up. Make a stand. Support Jeffersonian principles, and let these socialist in DC KNOW we WILL NOT stand for more Fedgov intrusion in our lives and industry.

Political parties are the past. Repubs are just a slightly lessor version of the liberal Democrat socialist world they so long for.

What has your vote done for you to restore your liberties? Think GM, AIG, un-confirmed CZARS et al, that the Obama, Reid, Pelosi are doing to our free-enterprise system.

You want to be subjegated or do you want freedom to make your own choices? It will be a very hard effort to return of such Constitutional principles.

Good people will lose their livihoods, others may die or be imprisoned. What is worth to you for your libety? Personally, I will give up all and work in a car-wash if I'm assured the the Fedgov will get the **** out of my life.

STATES RIGHTS!

And we don't have rent-a-mob labor unions, ACORN or other assorted brownshirts to call up.

Here is a good way to get attention without harming anyone. Get groups of people to “run out of gas” on the highways going into the major cities during morning rush hour. This could tie up traffic for hours with very few people required to participate. Think a coordinated effort over most of the large cities in the country.

Be sure to have Obama bumper sticker on the car.

Here in Baton Rouge one car stopped on I-10 in the morning can cause a major backup.

" 3 # The terminally clueless who don't even know what the issues are let alone understand them and let the MSM do their thinking for them " ....
( one of the best definitions of the world ( SHEEPLE ) I have heard )

That fits a lot of people I know who voted for Mr. Obama....

No matter how much I tried to reason with them, they still believed the MSM Gospel truth....

The MSM is the major problem .....

We need a few Conservative Billionaires who would be willing to set up a few ( not just one ) TV networks ( aka Fox News ) to give the Liberal Soup Media ( aka ... ABC,, CBS,, NBC ,, ) a stiff competition and a run for their money....

Yeah, go ahead and protest David Letterman, but, the thing that will force CBS to fire David is their advertisers dropping their revenue adds by average Americans boycotting CBS's advertisers products...

Nothing in life is guaranteed. Too many of us have become spoiled....don't want to try anything unless it's guaranteed to work in our favor.

That kind of thinking would put Las Vegas out of business and there would be no stock market.

I come from a long line of "doers" where we all begin as "triers"....sometimes it doesn't work, but often enough it does. Error is an important part of trial and error learning, and failure can be a good teacher.

Too many of us will support our country from our arm chairs, but when it comes to lifting a finger, they'd rather let someone else do it.

"First they came for the Jews...." we all know the rest of that one. Something similar and just as sinister is happening right now and we can choose to be mere spectators, or we can actually stand for something.

The choice is out there....you're in or you're out.

Quoting Benjamin Franklin, it's "a republic, if you can keep it."

With all due respect, the TEA parties are the beginning of the civil disobedience; eventually Obama’s thugs will try to disperse us.

If we don’t show up, they won’t start gassing, hosing, beating or shooting us. Unfortunately, until things get loud, no one will be listening.

Job #1 of our Congress clowns is retaining their jobs. Threaten their job survival again and we will stop the fast ride to Obamanation.

Vote out every one of them who will not agree to term limits!

keep in mind that FBI and DHS is all over us reading everything we post........................

Whose side will they take when the SHTF? Are they our fellow citizens, or job security seeking bureaucrats?

If you have a personal acquaintance with an individual from either, ask if they are willing to be Oath Keepers, keeping their oath to the constitution against the domestic enemy that the federal government is rapidly becoming.

Some butthead walked the line constantly filming us all.

How many of the folks present took snapshots or videos of the butthead? Did anyone ask him who he was working for? Was he challenged in any way? Could have been an ACORN operative trying to intimidate them.

The ONLY thing these socialist/marxists care about is their own political survival.

Which is precisely why NO ONE should be able to make a career of politics at any one level. TERM LIMITS, NOW AND FOREVER!

I totally agree with your premise that we must be willing to “go to the mat”. Whatever that entails. Otherwise TPTP know they can do what they want as we will never move above bitching-n-moaning. I am not ready to dismiss the Tea Parties however and hope that they will ultimately produce what you are suggesting here if resultant actions and changes in the direction of our coutnry are not undertaken. However if they do not I agree 100% that we need to pursue other options. Letter writing, email campaign etc without the understood underlying premise that We The People will stand, fight and protect is meaningless “talk”.

Also it must be understood that we do not have unlimited time.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

You lost my support when you ended it with “states rights”.

State’s Rights is the democrats scheme by which some of the worst injustices this country has produced has been fostered upon the poorest among us.

What we need to cry out for is our rights as citizens or our constitutional rights.

First and foremost is the right to prevent government from controlling every aspect of our lives in a totalitarian manner.

Secondly we should demand that anyone that runs for president prove that they are eligible under the constitution’s requirements.

I will be THE last man to say give up. I'm trying to tell you folks that I have been there and done that it HASN'T worked! Look where we are now with the Obama,Reid, Pelosi triad that are weekly diminishing out liberties and rule of law.

A bunch of people holding signs in front of the WH in Lafette (sp) Park won't make one iota difference. The obama machine will ignore it, as did the clinton machine.

Without civil disobedience, nothing will change. Mark my words.

If you want to effectively protest, do it in front of a politicians (mayor-state rep-Senator) or LEO (local police chief-county sheriff-FBI agent} personal residence.

Just the fact that you march in front of their personal residence will raise the temperature 100%. That is what makes the fight a personal one.

Marching in front of someones office where they can say, "I've had enough for today, I'm going home for some peace and quiet" is considered official business. They were hired knowing unruly crowds were part of the job. Make it personal! That's when the wife just might come over on our side.

When you shake up their wives and children with the threat of possible criminal disobedience is what makes it a whole different situation. Make them afraid that someone who can no longer control their anger might just throw a rock through their car window.

No, I am not suggesting throwing a rock through someones front window, but you want them to think you will unless changes are brought about.

Lots of folks took photos and filmed. There were t.v. cameras and all kinds of stuff. BUT one clown came by with NO credentials filming with a video camera to die for.
He was challenged several times as to who he was with and refused to state any affiliation. When asked if he was working for the f.b.i. or feds? He walked off and got the hell away.
Then word come out the indeed the feds did film folks at these peaceful events.
Those who branded us as extremists can kiss my rear end.
It is called America and I have the right to protest this very stupid socialist magic negro and his policies.

If the ONE and his cronies in Congress continue to ram all this crap down our throats, what we are witnessing in Iran could very well be played out in this country.

Actually, that might not be a bad idea.

Oh good Heavens, no. I’m on to them to the point of paranoia, but not past it, I think. I did get photographed at the April 15 TEA party, and Hubby and part of my arm (:-D) both made it into a pic in the local paper in a May 23 party, so they know who we are.

Getting arrested for a misdemeanor is all right, but if they up the ante and press felony charges, I don’t want to lose my RKBA. I wouldn’t put it past them to do such a thing. If they can’t disarm us one way, it will be another.

If any of us so much as passes gas on September 12 in DC, we may be in for trouble.

These two old farts are going anyway.

BTW, which Georgia are you in?

Yes, and we don't have large groups of unemployed Chicago-style mobsters and thugs to make an anti-ACORN either. We're all too busy working, worshipping, and living and letting live. The irony is that they accuse us of fascism.

And isn't that how they defeated us? They claimed that they just want to be left alone to [insert x perversion], so we say, okay live and let live. Then they cram it down our throats right after they rub our faces in it.

Your experience has made you wiser. You are absolutely correct. Only civil disobedience will get their attention.
However, this is a problem for conservatives since we are law abiding citizens. Plus, come Monday, we have to be back at work. So we can’t afford to be in jail on Monday. I mean, someone has to pay the taxes which supports socialism.

Without the sweat labor work ethic of conservatives, and the job creating capitalists composed mainly of conservatives, few, if any, of these social programs, like ACORN for example, could ever have been funded. There would be no welfare state. There would be no foreign welfare supporting other nations and wannabe nations like the palestinian dogs of terror.

We have for a long time now been a socialist state. But now, the move is toward marxism. Once the fed.gov has seized total control of our major capitalistic enterprizes, like banks, insurance, auto manufacturing, housing, investments, health-care, and so on, we citizens, will become slaves to the centralized fed.gov. We will suffer a fate our founding fathers risked and gave their lives to prevent.

They warned us in their writings this could happen. They warned us about sacrificing freedom for security. Then they told us what was our solemn obligation should this occur.

I am not advocating violence as did our founding fathers. I am merely stating the obvious. We must prevent this , takeover by the marxist minded corrupted politicians. And we must do it peacefully. At worst, flavored with a few sprinkles of civil disobedience. No taking of arms. Well, unless they use their arms against us as we peacefully protest making our demands known. Then we have a right to self defend.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, this is why the marxists want all our guns.

““Without civil disobedience, nothing will change. Mark my words.” “Agreed, however...let’s clarify civil disobedience...that does not mean bombs, guns, and violence...”

Of course not. I never ever meant to suggest such things.

I wasn’t thinking you thought that way, just covering your back...
