Romney by Elimination? [Rich Lowry]
First Ensign, then the "Crying in Argentina" press conference. If Republicans want a presidential candidate who lives clean and whose family hasn't been involved in tabloid scandals, it might soon be Mitt Romney by process of elimination.

Too bad Mitt Romney is unreliable as a ‘conservative’, enough so that I will stay home rather than vote for him. I don’t like the guy.

Sarah Palin, of course. I'll second that nomination.

It’s 2009. It’s way too early to be deciding this.

There’s always Pawlenty. He hasn’t been to South America or Vegas, has he?

Romney is only a hair less socialist than Bambi. In fact, the Dems are apparently modeling their health plan on Romney’s Massachusetts Folly.
Granted, he’s not a Muslim. But other than that, he doesn’t have much going for him.

I really hope the GOP does not pick it’s next candidate by process of elimination again. We need a real leader who excites people big time.
I like Palin, but also wonder why we don’t think outside the box this time. Someone like Bolton comes to mind.

I am not a Romney fan. That being said he would be a far better president than the One. He is extremely competent in business, and by all accounts squeaky clean in his domestic relations.

Two of the last three republican presidents were governors. They were Reagan and George W. Bush. Two of the last three republican presidents were from the South. They were both Bushes. Two of the last three republican presidents sought the nomination, in a previous election. They were Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Based on these facts, the Republicans who are most likely to win the 2012 presidential election are Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Haley Barbour, and Bobby Jindal. I hope that all five of those men will run, along with Sarah Palin, Dirk Kempthorne, and MikeLeavitt. At least four of those eight should stay in the race until the 2012 Republican National Convention.

Romney will never get a primary vote from me.
I cant stand the man....
.....if he, however is the nominee...I will hold my nose like I did for McQueeg. I cannot suffer another term of the current $h!t that lives at 1600 Pennsylvania avenue...
At least we had Palin with McQueeg. She is my candidate for POTUS
