Documents Detail Case for Walpin's Dismissal Documents delivered to lawmakers this week expose a frequently confrontational and petty relationship over the past several years between officials at the Corporation for National and Community Service and the group's inspector general, Gerald Walpin. I think you have it right. If there were actual documentation aside from the collection of perjorative adjectives the WH tried, they'd have made it abundantly clear. The Post's use of the word "documents" seems an obvious ploy to create impressions of something substantive and legal when it's nothing of the sort. The WH put all the previous gossipy crap in a binder with a really nifty looking cover page, section headers and carefully chosen font. Voila. A document.
