Oliphant chose interesting imagery for conservative Christians. Nazi propaganda films often juxtaposed scenes of Jews at prayer with rats swarming out of a sewer. If the left doesn’t keep reminding us of how tolerant it is, we’re apt to forget.

I thought there was no SS cemetary in Bitburg. There’s just a German military cemetary that has some SS graves. The rest of the graves are regular German army graves.

Likewise, they derive self-annointed righteousness points without having to actualy *do* anything to back up their facile and casual beliefs by identifying and sympathizing with the underdog if one can be identified. It simply can’t be that those getting the short end of the stick (in some situation about which they know only bumper sticker sound bites or dopey newspaper headlines) are themselves resposible for their crappy situation. But it isn’t uniform, it’s all headline driven. When there lots of Darfur headlines, they are all anguished over the fate of the Darfurballs. Otherwise, they couldn’t give two s**ts.

The Left hates G-d because they have divorced morality from Him and created an independent, secular standard of morality by which He isn't moral enough.
