On July 3rd, Sarah Palin, once again, turned the Main Stream Media pundits, the liberal policiticians, and the political establishment in Washington DC on their ear. Talk again is abuzz, "What will Sarah do?" I listened to her entire announcement. It was honorable, it was direct, and it punctuated the insane politics of our day...it also punctuated her personal commitment to fight for conservative principles and candidates...to fight for America, and to do so when it would not distract further from her job as Governor and the foundation she has built there.
I am proud of her and support her. She is a great American.
I think Sarah has just turned, like a fed-up mama Bear, on her detractors and on the sad state of affairs afflicting our nation. She has put things in order, she has left them in the hands of capable people, and she has now turned to face the enemy directly. The enemy of big, inflated government, the enemey of abject socialism and marxism runnink amuck in our nation, the enemy of out of control spending, the enemy of energy dependence, the enemy of moral decay, and the enemy of the culture of death in our society.
I think all of the enemies, and the people who support them and perpetuate them are going to be sorry. We have smelled the fear in them for a long time as they have attacked this good woman, her family, and her children. Good on her!
I believe she will assist conservative candidates greatly in 2010, with huge crowds and building imense political capitol as she goes. I believe she will build personal capital as she speaks out in support of fundamental American and moral principle all around this nation, and I believe she will take all of that capital and will run herself in 2012 for President...and she has my full support.

Were she to do that, the Tweedle-Dum Tweedle-Dee traitors who call themselves Republicans and Democrats would be left in the dust.
Me too! In fact this non-betting person would bet she has jumped in the 2012 race with both feet. I watched her speech and no sign of her going away except from AK.
Do you know if anyone has a Sarah ping list? Would like to be on it, help with it, or start one. We need to be able to defend her on a lot of these threads.

I agree, ‘Mom’. One of her kids had said ‘hell yeah!’. I think her kids are spitting mad. This is not a ‘roll-over-and-play-dead’ attitude.
She said she’s learning from the troops to think beyond ‘self’. I think that means she’s running. Our current president slandered the troops and then took credit for their victory in Iraq. So I don’t see someone who loves the troops that much letting him win re-election without a fight.
I wouldn’t consider it a good thing to be compared to Mitt Romney.
Yep...Sarah being Governor was a No-win situation. If she did do something political her Demorat enemies and the MSM would sue and file frivolous ethics claims. If she did not do something political, the Romneybot enemies and the MSM would bitch about how Palin is not doing what she needs to. Now Sarah is finally free to kick butt! Go Sarah. Conservatives need a tough voice or this country is headed down the tubes at the hand of far-leftist commies.

I agree with you on Sarah about using the values and principles she holds dear to kick off a new movement of grassroots all across this Country. Here in OK, I have talked to Dems who voted for McCain because of Palin. She is going to be able to bring in a lot of people across this Country who want a return to traditional American values instead of apologizing for being Americans.

I am not sure she is running yet, but Sarah will be turning up the heat on the commies running this country into the ground. Sarah will play a large role in electing conservatives to Congress in 2010 also. I think Sarah will do everything she can to fight the leap to socialistic economy that is doomed to failure. If everything plays out right, then she will decide to run at that point.
I was shocked to hear her say in her speech that some Guard from states have to pay their own way back home and then get reimbursed, and she was going to be talking to their Governors. I think what she saw in Kosovo changed her into knowing it was time for her to take the reigns and be a force to fight this Administration. She couldn’t do it from Alaska.
I am one happy person today. I didn’t run for reelection and I wanted her in the lower 48 campaigning for our candidates. Mary Fallin was on one of her groups for 2008 so I would expect Oklahoma is going to get a chance to see Sarah up close and personal. Can you say Gov Fallin?
No matter what her reasons are; I admire and respect Sarah Palin.
I am behind her 110%. She is one of the very few brave politician we have now.
She will need tons of money to compete with Obama who has the likes of Soros’ billions to keep him going not to mention all of the illegal campaign money only he gets a free pass on. If they want to look into ethics start with Obama’s money.
I expect Mary Matlin to join her before long, Gretas husband is already onboard.
Soros is not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is all the government money which is funneled to Democrat-front organizations like Acorn. This is where Dems get a huge chunck of their financing now. This is also why Obama broke the law and fired the IG investigating how money was being spent. It is pure corruption and is being covered up. Obama clearly broke the law he sponsored, and not one person in the media cares about it.
I don’t think a run in 2012 is at the top of her list. She wants to get things set for 2010 and if she feels she should run for pres, she’ll continue in that direction. There’s a lot more she can do now than just prep for a presidential run.

Sarah is going to need our prayers whatever she decides to do. What a great burden conservatives have placed on her to be the “savior” of the country. No person should have to shoulder that kind of burden. If she is called by God to be that person, then God will give her the strength and wisdom to get it done. I pray that she is called, but I will cover her with prayers. In the meantime, I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much. She may simply wish to no longer be a target for the dim’s darts.

As much as I like Sarah, I am afraid that she will forever be stigmatized as a “Quitter”. When the going gets tough, the tough don’t quit...no matter what the reason. Sad.
Sarah Palin is too smart to trust just any political critter to run for president. I bet she learned quite a lot during the McCain campaign. Maybe if Hannity, Mark Levin, or Rush were to run, she might support him. Heck, she might support Savage even. Who knows? But I doubt that she will be satisfied with much else. So that means she’s running, because none of them want the hassle. She’ll be in the left’s crosshairs even after she dies, so she might as well try to defeat them, and I believe she will.

It’s not “quitting”. That is the state-run media’s word. Sarah is now going to be able to “attack from a different direction.”
Her family prayed about it and personally believe after watching her speech, she will be leading Conservatives in the fight to save our Country. She does need our prayers and our help to get our Nation turned around and taken back from a group that wants to destroy America.
Sarah loves America and all that it stands for as a beacon unlike the puppet of the left that occupies the WH with total disdain as to what America means to the World.
Maybe it is time for someone to start a Prayer thread for Sarah as she embarks on her new mission. That is one I would gladly join as we pray for Sarah and our Nation.
I don’t see her as a quitter. Sometimes you have to move out to move on and up! I know that I personally have had to leave jobs in order to move up because the red tape inside was too much to overcome.

I can’t imagine her sitting back just watching 2010 drift by. Good point. But smart people do look ahead at least some.
Successful people have a five year plan to 10 year plan.
In military terms...she has just flanked the enemy. They will use whatever jargon they can to try and deflect it...but there is a locked and loaded hammerhead coming down on them that they will not be able to avoid.
As they are getting smashed, their protestestations of "she quit" will sound pretty lame.
