"He did not admit to being a pervert. *roll eyes*"

You can roll your freak-loving eyes until they fall out of your weirdo-adoring head for all I care. Read this slowly, please, so that this time you will understand what I originally wrote. Jackson admitted that he took little boys to his bed. THAT, by every standard we have in our society, is perverted. Let me repeat the heart of my point: a 40-year-old man taking 12-year-old boys to his bed to sleep with him is considered perverted in our society, without even going into what happened once in that bed. This is not difficult for any reasonably balanced person to understand.

There is also a huge canyon of difference between being a childlike adult and being what Jackson became. I'm a grandmother that loves to climb trees with my grandsons. We have a fort. I ride bikes with my granddaughter and we eat gummy worms. Yesterday afternoon we were in the kiddie pool out back -- the one with the water sprays and slide.

I don't hang with a chimp that is dressed identical to me and I don't give Jesus Juice to other peoples' children before I dress them in cute little outfits and take them to my bed for a little quiet time. I don't then pay them $20 million dollars because I've done something to the children. TWENTY MILLION reasons to believe that Jackson did something for which he needed to pay. Nor have I paid surgeon after surgeon hundreds of thousands of dollars to mutilate my body because I can't stand to look at myself. I don't grab my crotch in front of the world because I'm a good, clean, wholesome soul. Sheesh, is any of this sinking in to you yet?

There is no "mob mentality" where my comments are concerned. My post was my own ... I've felt that way for a couple of decades, and I believe it to be the truth. Take it or leave it -- I could not possibly care less.

Unfortunately, Michael Jackson went from a beautiful little boy with a gift from God to an extremely troubled man who paid little or no attention to appearances. That was his choice and I am under no obligation to celebrate his life or mourn his death.

The fact that you are disgusted and/or saddened by my comments, yet are filled with wonder and adoration toward Michael Jackson speaks volumes about your own human condition. Hopefully you will seek the help that you need.

You can’t libel dead people. Feel free to slam MJ —although I suspect he was just weird and not a molester.

incindiary is working very hard not to see the reality of this situation. If you had a video tape of Jackson raping an eight year old she would dismiss it with excuses about his child-likeness - (which was an act) He manipulated his looks to make himself look as nonthreatening as possible. He manipulated his environment to be attractive to children. And he had to pay off many parents.

If a person can't connect those dots, they've got touches of liberal brain-dead syndrome... and nothing you say will overcome that.

Everything you say is true, but I have to say that Jackson’s “look” was anything but non-threatening. It was totally freakish and quite frightening, to my eye. He almost became a clown with those red lips and overly-lined eyes.

He was extremely feminine looking as well, after having most vestiges of maleness surgically removed or altered. This was a very abnormal man.

It was freakish... but designed for children - not nice grandparents...

Let me de-twist your post. I didn't say I was disgusted by YOUR comments, I was talking about the general tone on this and other MJ threads, the hateful, arrogant, accusatory jumping on the bandwagon and proclaiming he is guilty, playing God.

And now you're making misleading statements about me, saying I'm "filled with wonder and awe" - No, it's called choosing to not definitively label someone as guilty, based on hearsay and unproven allegations. And it's called trying to correctly understand people before proclaiming them to be evil, and having an ounce of human compassion...you might want to try that sometime, but I guess it's easier to have the mob mentality and assume the worst about people.

I never wrote that you were "filled with wonder and awe". Proper use of quotations would be appreciated. You have pretty plainly stated your admiration for Michael Jackson and your contempt for those who recount the freakshow that was the last 25 years of his life. Reasonable folks can make their own assessments from your words.

True, you have a right of freedom of speech, but other people have a right to privacy, and a right to their dignity. Freedom of speech is of no merit if it is being used to defame someone with lies. The fact that they are “public figures” is immaterial (Does Sarah Palin have to put up with attempts to besmirch her character?)

Now of course, if what you are saying are lies, then there should be no problem, but unfortunately people believe there is no “smoke without fire”. And how much value should your good name have?

So, if you assert that MJ is a kiddy-fiddler, then you are, frankly, telling a lie, because a court of law has cleared him of that charge. You can say that he was accused of molesting children. You can say that he was arrested and charged with the crime. You can say that you disagree with the verdict. You can even say that MJ got off because of his money and power (very likely), but you cannot say he was a paedophile (actually I think you can now, because I dont believe it is possible to slander or libel a dead person).

Correction, you said adoration, not awe. But that doesn't change my point, that you're being misleading by portraying me as some starry-eyed, blind adorer who needs to seek help, while at the same time being disgusted by your comments. Neither is accurate. As I said, it wasn't your comments in particular that I was disgusted with, but the tone in general from many posters on this topic. In fact, I was going to put "all" in the post to section, but I wasn't sure if that would work.

And i'm not some irrational "filled with wonder" adorer, I'm someone who is able to look at all sides of a story, weigh the evidence, try to understand the person in question, and use my God-given mind and insight when it comes to what I believe. And in case you didn't notice, I had not even concluded in a set-in-stone way, his innocence or guilt, I've said that I don't think he's the evil monster some people try to make him out to be, but I'll let God be his judge.

First, freedom is speech is of no merit if it's only used to gush nice things about public figures who have given 20 million to pay off the parents of various "boys" who have accused him of pedophilia. I can assure you if Sarah Palin had paid 20 million dollars to keep various parents quiet who had accused her of diddling their daughters - the press would never shut up about it.

And really and truly - all people who are found "not guilty" are not necessarily innocent. You do understand how our legal system works even if you don't quite understand the first amendment, right?

OJ was found "not guilty" - did you think he was innocent of the crime? Or that the State didn't prove their case to that particular jury on that day?

Should we all show great respect for OJ?

How about great respect for the man who killed the abortion doctor?

Or do you draw a line there. How about great respect for skinheads who lynch blacks? Do they also get "great respect"? What if one of the skinheads wrote a beautiful song? Or six beautiful songs - and danced to one of them? Does that trump our ability to condemn him for being a racist-killer?

You need to get real Vanders.

You seem to feel that you know where the "line" is - it's where the people you like are on the good side of that line - and the rest of us are not.

That's heavy handed totalitarian. It seems I don't agree with you on any of this - it happens.

“Maybe people RELATE to molesting little boys and don’t want to hear others criticized ot accused of it - to close to home ? Frankly, it’s rather obvious what MJ was - a wealthy child molester. “

Correct!

The death of America is caused mainly by political correctness and Republicans not having the balls to call what is real. Thank you, Rep. King and Palin.

Are there any other takers? Didn't think so!

Rep. King has it right. The Republican party is one to ignore the obvious things that are destroying our culture and our country...and turning the other cheek...you know, “keep it clean”.

Observe the winning party that is in charge. They are destroying our country and those who disagree with them.

The game was changed long ago, who is in?

Evil SOB’s smear Palin. I am not an evil SOB, and Palin is as far as we know above reproach. Comparing Palin and Jackson is like comparing Reagan and Obama....not intelligent, and in commensurable.

“You never publicly say things like that about someone unless it’s the actual truth.”

And can Palin sue Leatherman? NO!

It is time to get on the playing field. Republicans have documented truth's that they could use against Frank, Gore, Hussein, Clinton, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. ......

Will they? They better do it now, as there is little time left.
