J.Crew is using Sasha and Malia Obama to market some of its spring and summer styles, in a press release sent ...

... to reporters Monday afternoon titled "The Obama Girls Bring Some American Style to Moscow."

"Malia & Sasha wore J.Crew and crewcuts as they exited Air Fore One in Moscow — stylish in their trenches, they also accessorized with ballet flat shoes," the release says.

The notice includes two photographs of Sasha and Malia deplaning Air Force One with their parents and an image of the J.Crew logo.

I hope he’s not hawking michelle obama’s clothes. She looks like she just rolled out of a homeless shelter half the time with the terrible clothes she wears.

I was embarrassed with what she got off the plane in Russia wearing.

Michelle needs to release the facts of the releasing release. I call for all of the releases to be...released.

Same spelling as Terry.

All of the elitist dittoheads will be buying J Crew so they can have their privately schooled kids dressing like the O-Girls (getting ahead of the curve and giving them a catchy name).

Looks like “McAuliffe” is just coincidental.

Thanks for raising that very excellent point!

I am so lucky ‘grunge’ was the in look when my daughter was that age .. grunge being defined as the Pacific NW lumberman turtleneck/flannel shirt with jeans look. I didn’t love it but she wasn’t walking around with her entire middle exposed.

What do expect from a Democrat shill.

Miliard “Mickey” Drexler, president of J. Crew, donated over $94,000 to various Dem causes in 2008.

And the clothes aren't cheap, either.

Also from the article: [[the press release] also offers details about the specific items each of the Obama daughters wore on the way to Moscow and after their arrival, including the prices and style numbers for each piece.

Malia, for instance, was sporting the Silk Taffeta Trench ($298) and black satin ballet flats with contrast trim ($98), the e-mail notes. Whereas Sasha, 8, was wearing the girls’ crushed twill trench ($169.99) and girls’ minna printed ballet flats in classic navy ($108).]"

MOST average Americans canNOT afford these price-tags for their children OF THIS AGE. And many cannot afford these prices for their more label-concious teens.

This is such a(nother) slap in the face of hard-working Americans who are trying their damndest to make ends meet and keep their jobs and homes. Spit.

And to clarify, I’m talking about the American public being able to buy what they’re hawking. It’s one thing for reasonably higher-priced clothing for the First Daughters...but for most of the rest of hard-working Americans....

That is what is surprising to me—and not much mention of it. What mom in right mind is spending $300 on a child (what is she 10 or 12) coat (summer one too). Very few moms except all but the very wealthy will be willing or able to spend that in this economy on a woman’s trench, let a long a child’s. Kids shoes over $100, again how extravagant. So we have elected Royals?

It will be interesting to see how the “working families” that voted for the Obamas deal with having children who want to dress like the “regular folks” Obama girls with J Crew trench coats, telling their children that the cost of those two coats and pairs of shoes may be as much money as some are getting in their unemployment compensation.... media made a big deal about how average and regular the family is because they buy off racks....
