CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Ginger Whittaker Bragg, daughter of Powerball winner Jack Whittaker, was found dead in her Daniels home, authorities said.
Chief Deputy D.E. Stafford of the Raleigh County Sheriff's Department said in a press release that deputies were called to Bragg's Lake Drive home in the Glade Springs Resort Sunday afternoon after receiving a report of a dead person in the home.
Deputies said Bragg, 42, died inside her home. Stafford said the department does not suspect foul play but is investigating.
Bragg's father won a $314 million Powerball jackpot on Christmas Day 2002, then the largest amount ever won with a single ticket.
In a 2007 interview with the Associated Press, Jack Whittaker said Bragg had battled cancer - Hodgkins lymphoma - for years but was in remission at the time. He said then, however, that she was still in poor health.
When Whittaker won the Powerball, Bragg and her daughter, Brandi, were living in Hinton, where they were active in church.

God or money......
With all those jillions, wonder why her dad didn’t provide her with the cream of home health care if she didn’t want to be taken care of in a conventional hospital or nursing facility. It is so bizarro under these circumstances to be simply “found dead.”
sad...
Ahh!
Time to check the fingerprints on that Powerball ticket!
RIP.
It’s almost like a deal with the devil. He gets all this money, but loses everything meaningful to him.
yeah, that guy lives close by,he had money before he won, everything went wrong after that. He is supposedly bankrupt as of a few years back. Pretty amazing spiral downward, but if he wrote a book,I bet he would be back in the money-but somehow I think his yearning for money is gone.this is not the first member of his family he has lost-whether money made a difference, who knows, but I think the guy wasn’t to bad a person, really.
He lost his grand daughter too. Too much death for a man I would think.
His winning lottery numbers were: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42
I saw a show on TV about lottery winners and Jack was one of the winners that was featured.....His life was a mess, I believe he and his wife divorced his granddaughter died of a drug overdose and now this....he seems cursed more than blessed.....
you are right he needs to turn to the Lord...
Curse schmerse. I’ve never heard of this gentleman before but if his life is going wrong then well, all he won was money not a new brain.
BTW to anyone who as won money and feel it is cursed...PM me. ;)
RIP to the woman.
His winning lottery numbers were: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42
Kind of eerie that one of his winning numbers - 42 - was the age of his daughter at her death.
Anyone know the age of his granddaughter when she died -
16? 23 ?

I believe he was bankrupt.
Is this the same guy who kept a couple of hundred thousand in his vehicle, parked it outside of a bar (with the engine running), came out of the bar a few hours later, and discovered he had been robbed?
Yes. Same Guy. He’s had a laundry list of indiscretions...He’s said he’s broke but it’s hard to believe ANYONE could blow that much money. But I wonder if he will be around much longer...He’s lost his wife,Daughter, Grand-daughter....I wonder if he’s going to get worse before he gets better. Hopefully God will use this to bring Jack closer to him.....Prayers
She was 17 I think....
Congress and Zero can rip through that much before lunch.
