Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor's backers are reportedly urging reporters to probe what one called the "troubled and litigious work history" of New Haven firefighter Frank Ricci.

People for the American Way, a liberal advocacy group, and other advocates urged the newspaper to dig into Ricci's background, specifically an earlier 1995 lawsuit the firefighter filed contending the city of New Haven discriminated against him because he's dyslexic. Interesting. That a 'liberal' advocacy group is seeking to destroy a person, due to an affliction which so-called 'liberals' would normally champion, and only because Sotomayor ruled against his case. Very interesting, and very telling.

Ben Vargas--like Soyomayor, also Puerto Rican--also. So there will be Ricci and Vargas sitting at a table. Then Vargas can tell the Senate committee what he told the
New York Times...

A great American. I do not have Senate connections. I urge any FReeper who does to let Judiciary Republicans know they should invite Ben Vargas to the hearings.

I tried to reply with a sarcastic, mocking comment towards plumbers and firefighters, but I just couldn't imitate the elitist snear. God bless these guys that save us when we need it the most.
