Any Republican Senator who does not fight tooth and nail against the Sotomayor confirmation does not deserve our support!

Any Republican who votes aye on Sotomayor gets a NO vote next election!

We send these bastards up there to fight for us, to fight for our constitution, to fight for our rights!

If they roll over for one of the most important votes in a generation, then what good are they?

Call, write or visit your Senator's office today and make sure they understand the score:

Agreed!

Unfortunately, I no longer HAVE any GOP Senators... and the two democrats we have here appear to be lap-dogs for the Obamessiah.

Exactly. And be weary of those who say “that they are waiting to hear how she answers the questions”

BullBleep. She’s sitting there lying! Any Republican with any conservative principles would have come out the day after she was nominated and voiced his/her opposition.

Jim, do you have a list of their emails? A list so that we can mass mail them? They have hidden their emails now so that you have to go to their websites and then jump through all the hoops. A list of emails that we could copy in and then mass mail them would let them know that we are watching.

Republicans are a good start, but why limit to just Republicans? Seems to me the oath all these gasbags took promised to protect and defend the Constitution ...

Vote ‘em out or in the case of key Democrats, criminal prosecution for corruption, conspiracy and malfeasance.

Pres Clinton gave midnight pardons to incaecerated members of the FALN----violent Puerto Rican terrorists who bombed US installations. Pardoned----so that then-Senate candidate Hillary could harvest the NY latino vote. Is that what the WH is trying to hide by refusing to handover Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund's official records?

REFERENCE Sotomayor's secret files: What don't the Democrats want us to see?
Washington Times | Friday, July 10, 2009 | Editorial
FR Posted by JohnRLott

We wonder what Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor has to hide. Her confirmation hearing starts Monday, but the White House refuses to turn over boxes of documents for review about her past. Republican senators requested board meeting minutes of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, where Ms. Sotomayor served on the board of directors from 1980-1992.

White House Counsel Greg Craig contends that all documents deemed "responsive" already were sent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Contrary to White House dodging, these board meetings may be important in evaluating Ms. Sotomayor's legal and policy reasoning because the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund was involved in a wide range of controversial legal cases.

For instance, the fund fought to abolish the death penalty. It pushed discrimination cases very similar to the New Haven firefighter case in which Ms. Sotomayor's quota reasoning was unanimously quashed by the Supreme Court. The organization publicly defended members of a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group The organization publicly defended members of a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group (the FALN, pardoned by Clinton to get then-candidate Hillary NY's latino vote)........ . . . . ACT NOW Call 202-225-3121 (Congress switchboard). Every senator should get 10-15,000 calls from Americans. Even with Dems in control, that many calls could make a difference.

MESSAGE TO SENATORS: Americans are sending the word across the land: "Sotomayor's rulings shows she would make policy through the court. The US Constitution precludes judges from making policy and laws. It is understandable that Americans are apprehensive: Sotomayor and her crowd are colluding to exert raw power over the majority---to turn the US into a failed Third World satrap. These racialists do not understand a sophisticated superpower----a democracy governed by the rule of law, based on three co-equal branches of government." END MESSAGE Any Senator who votes to confirm Sotomayor risks his/her reelection chances.

I couldn’t agree more with Jim. Sadly, my Senators are Schumer and Gillibrand. Seeing them vote against this SCOTUS candidate would be about as rare as rocking horse $hit!

I sent the following to BOTH Virginia Senators yesterday. The one I sent to Warner was “customized” a bit for him, but the basic text was the same in both e-mails:

Senator Webb,

I am writing to ask you to break with the far-left, dictatorial leadership of your political party on two major issues which are before the Senate at this time. As a self-proclaimed moderate and “fighter” for justice, you should have no problem at all recognizing the insanity associated with the democrat party position on these two issues:

1) I urge you to vote AGAINST the confirmation of Sonya Sotomayor as a Supreme Court Justice. Her history of disrespect to the 2nd and 14th Amendments to the United States Constitution alone make her imminently UNqualified for a position on the highest Court in our land. The lip service she is currently paying to “impartiality” and “blind justice” is belied by her long history of liberal activism and poor judgment; including racist comments and, even more disturbing than that, past membership in the Hispanic equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan (a radical anti-American organization called “La Raza”). Truth be told, she does not belong in the position she currently holds, never mind being promoted to the Supreme Court. Please do not vote to allow this person to infest the Supreme Court for the next 25-30 years.

2) I also urge you to vote AGAINST the so-called “Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009” (S. 909). The disregard and contempt shown for the 1st and 14th Amendments to the United States Constitution by those who wrote and are promoting this Bill are clearly evident to anyone who has even a modicum of understanding of the principles upon which this country was founded. It is already illegal to attack, injure or murder another human being in this country. Providing additional “protection” to select groups through this “hate crime” legislation flies in the face of everything our Constitution stands for; that being equality of opportunity and equal protection under the law for ALL. The radical, anti-Constitution Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, has stated for the record that the legislation is intended ONLY to “protect” those “classes” of people who have been “historically” mistreated in this country. Mr. Webb, I have NEVER “historically” mistreated ANYONE, and I do not need Big Brother-style government intervention to tell me not to. Trust me when I tell you that this proposed law WILL be used by race-hustlers, those who promote the radical homosexual agenda and other hate groups to restrict the free speech rights of people who, far being hateful, simply disagree with the opinions of these groups. It WILL happen if the law is passed, and you WILL be responsible when it does, if you do not oppose this legislation AND vote to kill it.

I also want to remind you that I was 100% correct when I warned you in January of this year that when Eric Holder was confirmed as Attorney General of the U.S. he would immediately show his contempt and personal hatred for the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and that he would immediately begin scheming to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens by working feverishly for ever-greater restrictions on private gun ownership. You chose to ignore my warning and you voted to confirm him anyway. He then proceeded to do exactly what I had warned you he was going to do. He started running his mouth about the need for new federal gun laws. For political reasons, his boss has temporarily “pulled the rug out from under him” on the “gun issue”, but you, I and he all know that one day he WILL be given free reign to do his best to effectively destroy the 2nd Amendment. When that happens, I will expect you to put your money where your “born fighting” mouth is and actually stand up to these bullies. In fact, I “hope” that you will “change” your current lap-dog ways and stand up to them NOW, on the two issues I have noted above.

Thank you.

WayneS

I don’t but I’m sure someone does.

But it’s most effective if each of us calls his own Senators, even the Democrats. Flood their switchboards in D.C. and their home offices. They won’t allow you to speak directly to your senator (they’re much too important to take calls from mere citizens) but if their switchboards are swamped they get the message. Personal visits are even better. That’s how we ran Specter outta Dodge!

Some don’t take email from other states but some did.
I think I mailed all but 3.

I disagree. She's going to be confirmed, and since politicians have limited political capital I'd prefer Republicans use theirs to fight this disastrous health care plan.

This doesn't mean they should just roll over and vote to approve her, but their effort would be better spent on the health plan.
