Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is leading Sarah Palin in the early fund-raising race among potential 2012 GOP presidential candidates, raking in a cool $1.6 million in the first six months of the year, new figures show.
Romney, who raised more than any other Republican during his time in the 2008 primary, has continued his torrid pace, more than doubling the $733,000 raised by Palin since Jan. 1.
Romney’s Free and Strong America political action committee raised a total of $1,610,019 since Jan. 1 while handing out $74,000 to federal and state GOP candidates nationwide. After expenses, the PAC was left with $841,000 cash, according to a federal campaign finance report filed yesterday.

I would actually suggest ppl make a chart of where Sarah and Mitt’s donations came from (across the country) and how many ppl gave - rather than one lump sum out of Mitt’s own pocket.

Not to mention he signed the Massachusetts assault weapon ban into law. If he signed those bills into law as executive of a state, I don’t see any reason to believe he wouldn’t do the same thing as chief executive of the country.

I think the fieldmarshal dj guy is pretty wasted most of the time. Either that or he has some MAJOR anger managment issues. That being said, from what I gather, I think he’s got the heart of a true conservative underneath all that ranting and gibberish. The emotional makeup of a 12-year old child, mind you, but the heart of a conservative. I think we are agreeing with him on Romney, but once he has his head made up, you’ll not be able to convince him otherwise, so don’t even bother wasting your time with him.
There is only one man that Sarah needs to get his approval: Rush Limbaugh.
Today Rush called Palin, wonderful. End of story.

Rush was talking about conversations he had over dinner with friends who were spewing the garbage we have all heard about Sarah Palin: she needs foreign affairs experience, she’s embarrassing, she’s polarizing etc and then Rush went on to explain to these folks why Sarah Palin is such a ‘wonderful’ candidate because after a year of the MSM trashing her Sarah still retains a 72% favorable number and Rush went on to say that the media picked McCain and the reason they are scared of Palin is they know she can beat Obama. Rush didn’t endorse her but calling her ‘wonderful’ came pretty damn close.
Read this emphasis at the end of the transcript, Rush separates Romney from the pack.

I agree.
Mitt Romney is not a socialist. He doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to be a socialist. Or a liberal. Or a conservative. Or even a middle-of-the-roader.
He's belongs to the Say-Whatever-He-Needs-To-Say-To-Get-Elected Party. Their mascot is a Quivering Bowl of Lime Jello.
People who will say or do anything are worse than socialists, in a way. A socialist follows the course he believes in, which is fairly predictable. Same with a liberal or a conservative. We follow the courses we believe in.
As someone who lives in Massachusetts, I'm no fan of his healthcare thing, either. But the fact is, the people of Massachusetts have been bleating for something like it for a long time, and he responded.
A conservative knows that Romney Care was wrong, regardless of how many people seemed to want it. It's wrong to take assets you have no right to (money) then use your new-found largess to reward others who didn't earn it. That isn't conditional, and is in fact one of the keystones of Conservatism - you don't take other people's belongings just because you can or because the majority would like to vote themselves to wealth. Wealth is to be built, not stolen. Property rights are respected.
So, yeah, right. Mitt Romney isn't a socialist. He isn't honest enough.
