The Pope and the cardinals of the Vatican help organize tours of Auschwitz for Hezbollah members to teach them how to wipe out Jews, according to a booklet being distributed to Israel Defense Forces soldiers.

Officials encouraging the booklet's distribution include senior officers, such as Lt. Col. Tamir Shalom, the commander of the Nahshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade.

>>The pamphlet isn’t distributed by the IDF, even the article explains that. <<

Poo happens.
They found out about it and pulled them, per the article...

“The IDF Spokesman’s Office said in a statement: “The book was received as a donation and distributed in good faith to the soldiers. After we were alerted to the sensitivity of its content, distribution was immediately halted.”

This is a someone trying to stir the pot. It’s a non-story. I’m with you.

Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu, the son of former Sephardi chief rabbi Mordechai Eliahu, is known for his extremist views,...

This guy sounds like the kook out in Kansas that protests at funerals for soldiers.

I tried to read the full article, but my screen was taken over by a virus scanning software ad.

I added the tag batboyjournalism to the story. It only seemed apt.

I don’t believe they’ve been out to massacre Jews wholesale for a LONG LONG time.

Care to elaborate on that?

I was referring to the historic examples of the Spanish Inquisition and the persecution of Jews during the plague years (1347-1354CE) in Medieval Western Europe. Of course, there was much animosity toward the Jews as both Orthodox Christians and Roman Catholics perceived them as to blame for the “murder of Jesus.” So, there were varying periods of persecution by Christians toward Jews in Early and Medieval European history.

European Catholics also persecuted Jews during the Crusades as they attempted to recapture the “Holy Land.” Their primary target was Muslims, but during the Crusades they didn’t discriminate much — they even sacked Constantinople on one Crusade — the capital of the Byzantine Empire and of (Christian) Eastern Orthodoxy!

Oh — HISTORIANS NOTE: THe Crusades didn’t happen in a vacuum. The Muslims had been killing Christians and taking their cities, and nations, for over 300 years. The Crusades began as aresponse to JIHAD. But their original purposes were compromised and degraded the longer they went on.

Mr. Cunningham, I will address you with respect, quite unlike you’ve addressed me. As I pointed out in my previous post (#28), which I encourage you to READ, I was speaking in terms of historic fact. That whole “Enlightenment” thing, along with the other massive changes of that era — the Renaissance, the Reformation, the “Scientific Revolution,” the “Little Ice Age,” the Black Plague — that kinda chilled the Roman Catholic Church out in a number of ways...

So, you see, Mr. Cunningham, I was speaking in the HISTORIC context. Your personal insults aside, if you’d like a good reading list to acquaint you with the historic facts to which I refer, please let me know.

Blessings,

Patriot Preacher

PS — Do you know the historic origins of the use of the term “cretin” as an insult? It’s quite fascinating....

It does seem the fringe group has a nice paying kosher certification racket going on though. For this stunt of defamation they should be kicked off the gravy train.
